View Full Version : My thoughts for HBK and Kurt (Homecoming Spoilers)

Alrighty, after the whole "Kurt wouldn't go into sudden death" thingie I believe there are a few ways to cap off this little diddy (yes, I said diddy).

A 60 min iron man match.
HBK's viewpoint on this is he was a part of the first Iron Man match, and it went into sudden death. The fans would love it, and he knows that if he had one more second (do the whole superkick thinige with "one second") he would have won it.

3 out of 5 falls
The match ended 2-2. First person to 3 falls wins, simple.

3 stages of hell
(see above)

Now how does Kurt see these matches? He's not to thrilled, and of course Eric wouldn't put him in a match with HBK like that, right? BZZT! Wrong! Eric does it to punish Eric for not helping him strip Cena of the title.

THoughts? Ideas? Reasons for me to kill myself?

Eric punishing himself? I like it!

Reasons for me to kill myself?
Sure, let me open up Microsoft Word and list a couple...hundred. ;)

Please tell me you're joking. Do you really want to bury the legacy of the hiac match?

The HIAC legacy? I don't think HHH blading himself inside a twenty foot wide steel cage could be considered a legacy.

If anything Angle and Cena could do well in the Cell. Angle has shown he's already more than capable from Armageddon 2000, and Cena is only ever entertaining in gimmick matches - they help disguise his in-ring limitations

They will have a match on a ppv when both of them are not doing nothing.

I would prefer it to be a cage match or a last man standing would be intresting

HIAC matches used to be something amazing, something unique, something we looked forward too, matches we would be talking about for years. Then they decided to put guys like Brock Lesnar, Kevin Nash and Batista in the Cell. What happened? Nothing amazing, nothing unique, nothing to look forward to and certainly nothing we would be talking about for even a week. HIAC matches have become cage matches, nothing better, because WWE is putting the wrong guys in the cell. They will really destroy the legacy if Cena gets put in there.

Only certain wrestlers should be allowed in the cell. WWE just throws the top face that all the little girls scream for in there, that's a mistake. Guys that are willing to put their body on the line deserve to be in the cell, not the latest 'superstar'.

You just stopped liking HIAC matches because no-one was being thrown from the top anymore. That's the kind of wrestling you like, and that's fair.

But you can have a very good Cell match without sick spots. Batista/HHH would be one primary example from this year, and then Jericho/HHH from just over 3 years ago. Both very good HIAC matches without sick spots and without "guys willing to put their body on the line"

Am I the only one who thought the Taker/Lesnar HiaC was one of the best?

Don't get me wrong, I used to love watching Cell matches wondering what crazy bump is going to happen this year. I'm sure everyone did. But if you're going into a match like this that has a barbaric reputation, then you better be willing to get barbaric. An amazing wrestling match could be put on inside the cell, but then why make it a HIAC match? If you're in a HIAC match, you better be able to live up the the reputation of the match. The bar has been set very high.
I don't mind if there is no sick spot though. I loved HHH/Jericho, I loved HHH/HBK. they helped carry on the legacy. Putting Cena in a HIAC match will crush the legacy.

Like it or not, Cena is the future of the WWE. He's being pushed to the moon and beyond. So we're going to have to accept that this is the direction that the WWE wants its product to take and sooner or later, Cena will be in a HIAC match.

It's a good job you have your CZW, because you ain't going to like when Cena completely dominates the WWE (more-so than now). I just wish I could become more engaged with TNA.

Taboo Tuesday

Fans pick one of 3 matches for Angle and HBK to have as the first match of the night

Fans also pick someone for Cena to face early on in the night (ala IC belt last time)

So winner of both matches (so Cena and Angle) have a one on one for the main event

If anyone can pull that kind of schedule off, its Angle. Wasn't it King of the Ring 2001 when he had 3 classic matches on the one PPV. I'd love to see Cena and Angle push each other through that kind of torment
