View Full Version : PowerPuff Girls Anime!?

Ok I stumbled on this and I just thought I'd pass it along. It was announced at the Tokyo International Anime Fair 2005 that they have made an anime of The PowerPuff Girls. To me it looks very weird but kinda cool seeing Blossum,Bubbles and Buttercup in another style but theres a lot of diffrences for example they now have weapons:wtf:

Bubbles has a giant bubble blowing thing,Blossum has a yo-yo and Buttercup has a giant Hammer.

I'm not a huge fan of PPG. I don't make time to sit and watch the origonal cartoon but if I stumble by it and I have nothing to do I'll watch it. Thats before anyone asks why I care about a PPG Anime. As for the actual Anime, it looks kinda odd.I doubt I'll ever see it though. Don't know if I could sit through an entire one anyway.

This is old news, and I believe it was a huge April Fools Joke. It's too bad, because this would have been very interesting.

Why do Japs always draw cartoons with great big fucking eyes??

Its just there art style. I'm sure theres a japanese guy asking why Western cartoons always use human/animal hybrids, have the same basic story, use the same basic characters and jokes and have no real running plot.

Crap like Pokemon is obviously crap but theres some good stuff here and there.

Another thing I think may explain the huge eyes is the eyes are seen as the window to the soul. A good guy with a big soul means big wide eyes where as if you look at the bad guys they usually have small narrow eyes cos the have no soul or cos there evil or something. I read it somewhere.

Yes and it does a better job at conveying emotion than say... Justice League Unlimited's style of animation.

This is old news, and I believe it was a huge April Fools Joke. It's too bad, because this would have been very interesting.

I doubt that someone would go through all the trouble of animating it and getting the voices then putting in on a station for it to be a big April Fools joke.
