Interesting article in the Dallas News about TNA/CEO Dixie Carter on the 27th Sept. Amongst other things, she says that:
"The Carters bought the company in 2002 for about $250,000 because HealthSouth wanted to boot TNA off its books. At the time, TNA was bringing in more than that every month in pay-per-view. "
"Given the confluence of merchandise, Spike TV, pay-per-view, an upcoming deal for video games and growing international interest, TNA will be at break-even next month. Father and daughter expect to see some return on Mr. Carter's considerable investment early next year. "After that," he says, "the upside is tremendous." "

Fair play to them, they have TV and they are making money now! By the end of next year WWE may have some serious competition on their hands

There will always be alternatives, heck i'd rather ROH be where TNA is right now, but it aint gonna happen. But with competition Vince might get his thumb out of his ass and show the decent TV we all used to love so much, and that my friend was back when WCW was living, so TNA's sucess should hopefully breed WWE sucess (product wise anyway) plus I always used to find the talent jumping interesting.
TNA will be competition within a year or less
oh and dave HAIL SABIN lol

Yeah, I actually read about that a few days ago. I'm happy for them, honestly. I think it's also great for wrestling fans.
In a year or two, they will be some sort of competition.....only thing is, I hope there is honestly a way where TNA could get some more money to sign some big time players or at least be in some sort of good negotiations with wrestlers. I mean right now it's .... A. should I go to TNA or B. go to WWE because they're paying 3 times as much?!....garbage when I think about it.
Yup, if WWE breeds success, then TNA will breed success because "rasslin" will be cool again!

If TNA continues to actually make money, then the possibility of higher worker salaries will follow. This is excellent news for wrestling fans. 51 minutes 'til Impact Ep. II...

Breaking even =/= making money. Also, notice how it's "expected". Hell, I COULD expect to be a millionaire tomorrow, but I really don't think I should count on it.
