When Undertaker reaches his final Wrestlemania match. Do you think he will do the job and put someone over huge or do you think he will demand to go out on top?

I doubt his last match will be at a WM. I'm sure he will put someone over in his last match, but not on his last Mania, his undefeated streak is his legacy. If its blemished marks will look down on him.

I don't even think they'd ask him to job. If he did, it'd be his decision. I don't see it happening. And IMHO, I don't think it should.

You dont think Vince will ask Taker to put over his brightest star at hit final WrestleMania ( not neccessarly his final match ). I think you underestimate Vince McMahon.

No I don't. Taker's claim to immortality is his streak. 4 (maybe 5) title reins in 15 some odd years isn't exactly amazing. So no, I don't think he will be asked to job considering on a mark side of things thats going to be the only thing about him worth remembering. Aside from the original HiaC (but only Foley will be remembered for that.)

I'm pretty sure Vince respects Mr. Calloway enough to let him go out as he pleases.

10 years from now people will be asking if it was taker or kane who though Foley off the cell. :nono:

Vince will do whatever the hell he wants, just look at poor J.R!

I think he could have him job to someone in his last match, personally i think it should be Kane he jobs to so that Kane goes over as the stronger brother in the end. In a ironic way Kane could brutalize Taker - put him through tables, throw him off the cell, pretty much destroy him.

Then when he puts taker in the coffin and takers lifeless at this point. Kane breaks down and cries. :'(

This would put Kane over in a massive way - plus he'd finally win the last battle with his "brother" The Undertaker.

I dont see why Taker should have a win streak at every Wrestlemania he's involved in. He's been nothing special for years now so the sooner he retires the better for me. :y:

Taker & HHH are two people that have a lot of control over Vince. HHH because he's married to the bosses daughter and is almost like a son to Vince (poor Shane) Taker, mainly because he's a big attraction and a really popular wrestler and Vince doesn't want to risk losing him.

I am not the biggest taker fan but I hope that he never loses his legacy. If he ever does I hope he loses to someone who is worth it.

Not to burst your bubble, but Foley wasn't involved in the original HiaC...it was Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels at Badd Blood.

Hence the statement

Taker doesn't need to job his last match... especially at Wrestlemania.

In my opinion, if his last match is at a WrestleMania, he should win it to preserve the streak and legacy. Then he could be destroyed by a load of heels and buried/put in a coffin. Plus it leaves the door open if a few years down the line Vince wants Undertaker back, he CAN come back with little/no damage to his credibility.

If his last match isn't a WrestleMania, however, he should job. In a destruction scenario like Pyro-Maniac suggested with Kane, or some other deserving Superstar.

THANK YOU! :y:

I could imagine either scenario working well. Although for my scenario you would have to have someone like Kane and not Orton (unless he becomes a psycho - he's not far away now!)

I could see the heels all burying Taker thing happening too. He could always come back for one off matches.

Although if you used my scenario, Kane could always ask him to come back for more or some shit.. you know the whole its not OVER YET, storyline.

I just thought it would make sense to have someone with history do it. Or in a twist of fate have Paul Bearer bury taker with Kanes help! :naughty:

personally, i don't see him going out doing the job.

WWE has rehashed this character so many times,
that making him go out Kayfabe dosn't seem right,
just let him win his last match and leave.

i mean, we didn't see foley leave as Mankind/Jacktus/Dude Love,
did we? of course.. he's not done yet... so that's a really shit example.

I think he should go undefeated at Wrestlemania. Like other have said it's about the legacy. If he loses nobody will remember him in 2-5 years. If he stays undefeated we could have guys at Wrestlemania 50 chasing down the Undertakers record. His title reigns really mean nothing because he didn't do anything with the Title. I kinda think even after he "retires" he'll continue winning at Wrestlemanias. He'll come back once a year after somebody trying to make a name for himself calls taker out to end the legacy but it'll only grow stronger. That way we don't need to see him all year and when we do it will be special

Taker won't job. They better not make him. Unlike Foley, Taker has the chance to retire with honour.

Thing is no one would buy it (well, no longterm fan) cuz it's been done about twelve times before.

Yeah, I was about to post that. Given that Taker dies 3 or 4 times a year now, it'd be pretty pointless to make him disappear by killing him. I mean, he's used to it now.

Foley left with honor barely kicking out of a sick bump and barely loosing a title match to the main star of the time and present

Foley never left.. he's on Carlito's Cabana on RAW this week.
He'll be wrestling soon, i bet.

Then he wrestled a month later for a payoff. Then he returned again. And again. And again. That's not retiring with honour. That's not retiring.

I don't think Taker should job in his final match.

There's no point to it. It's not going to help any of these guys get over, and serves no purpose. Let him go out on a good note, with a win and that's it. No getting beat down after a match, no any of that nonsense. Just win and it's over.

On a related note, I think that his time should be over - but I guess as long as WWE remains desperate, and he wants to make money, they'll keep him there.

Same. Taker's been on the company for 15 freaking years, I think he deserves to win his last match and keep his Wrestlemania winning streak.

Undertaker should job to Tajiri, thus furthering Tajiri to bring in the Japanese Kamikaze attack on the Gund Arena, destroying Lebron James and claiming the Women's title for his own.

I seriously don't think, at this point, the Undertaker losing at Wrestlemania will Destroy his legacy, as so many suggest. If anything, the guy he eventually puts over at Wrestlemania will become a BIGGER STAR, simply by "Being the guy who ended 'Taker's streak."

However, it has to be someone who is already a certain caliber. I can only think of a one person who could use that kind of a rub.

Batista. Why him? The 'net folks hate him, but to the Casual fan, he could well be the second coming of Hulk Hogan. He has the look, he has the charisma, he has the ability. If not for his age, he could be a big name for the next few years. Now he has to keep himself healthy.

If Brock Lesnar had stayed around, he could have been that guy, too. Hell, I'd also say someone like Kurt Angle.
