WTF? when did it get good again? Like I haven't watched in a while and it's awesome right now. The Tag Division. HOLY SHIT. There's like more then 2 real teams. I love tag wrestling. Thank god it seems to be back.
And Orton's promos have improved soooo much. He was always the man, but he's even more the man now. Put that dam belt on him
And I saw Kennedy before when I caught a recap of Smackdown and he's pretty awesome too.
So yea, I am a viewer once again.

Smackdown! is the goods.
This week's Smackdown is one of the better ones in a while.

I am pissed off because I missed a chunk of it. The eight-man tag team match, Peep Show and start of the Fatal Fourway, I think. I am glad they are planning ahead with their shows. They have two matches confirmed for next week, and that is the way things should be.
yeah it's surprisingly more entertaining than Raw
past 3 weeks I have enjoyed it more than Raw, never before have I enjoyed it this much.
Christian, Eddie, Batista, Kennedy, Orton, Taker, JBL, Mysterio (been liking him a lot just cuz he's finally got a theme that makes me think he's a main eventer and not a cruiserweight) off the top of my head
i just wish they'd get rid of sharmell so i can start liking booker again, it seems as though they are going to split up soon though

Do you think it can touch SD in 2003?

Smackdown 2003 had Heel Cena and he was my favorite character since Bret Hart. And same with Orton on Raw.
That Cena/Brock feud is one of my fav feuds ever.

Good thing i checked this topic first.
yeah, it shocked me.
SNAKES ALIVE! WE HAVE FIVE TAG TEAMS!!! That's a division!!!
The new guys (forgot their names) look good. That was some nice air on that leg drop. Puts Psicosis' to shame.

Yeah i must admit i usually hate it for being slow and boring but this Smackdown was actually one of the best for a while.
The midget musclemen looked damn good to me too!
Who the fuck where those guys anyway?
The way they are doing The Boogeyman storyline ACTUALLY makes sense because now he's just some nut job actor who's stuck in his persona. I mean i know its a little out there but its not as out there as him just turning up out of the blue as THE BOOGEYMAN!
Randy Vs Guerrero was a pretty good match too, back and forth - always makes a good match interesting.
Have to say i was suprised how good Smackdown was - oh and the Fatal four way was good, hell i even kind of like Sharmella now!

The fifth tag team on SmackDown! are The Blonde Bombers, "The Biggest Little Man in the Business" Tank Toland (I think he has gone by the name John Toland as well) and former OVW Heavyweight Champion Chad Toland. They are cousins, I think.
In OVW they were partnered up with Jillian Hall, which makes me think they MIGHT join JBL and Orlando Jordan in The Cabinet. They were OVW Southern Tag Team Champions last I knew. They might still be, but I haven't followed OVW too closely, so they might have lost them recently.

I think the better question is can it touch SD in 2002.

It always seems that when one show does well, the other must do poorly. Why can't both shows be good at the same time dammit  For the past month or so I've loved Smackdown!, and RAW's really been boring me. I tune in every week to see great talent like Kennedy, Mysterio, Guerrero, Orton, and so forth, and I haven't been dissapointed lately. Damn, I've got tickets for RAW next month, kind of wish I had Smackdown! tickets now instead. :-\

I loved it.
Bobby Lashley looks to have changed. He looks more serious, kind psychopathic...
I forgot how much babyface Eddie rules!
Well, Smackdown was great in 2002 because Heyman was booking, and knew how to pair people up for maximum effectivness, and actually stopped ratings from falling at a time when Raw's were fluctuating. 2003 was good as well, but not as good as it could have been - I didn't think there were as many interesting angles or great matches produced, and they dropped the ball on a couple of major opportunities, such as when Eddie Guerrero became super-over in the Summer, and he became a legit ratings draw, and their response was to have him go on a losing streak. If Heyman was in charge today, maybe we'd see more Cruisers as a nice sidedish, and see all this talent and potential, from Benoit, Orton, Eddie, Christian, Hardy, Mysterio, Kennedy, etc...used to maximize everyone strengths and produce some good TV, rather than what we have with Christian being treated as a mid-card jobber instead of the star that he had a chance to be earlier this year. Of course, with the current WWE booking climate, I don't see anybody being given the opportunity to produce some interesting TV, which would deviate from WWE's current "comfort zone" of booking.

No offense against you, LC, but I'm starting to get sick of people going "WOW I've been missing out! When did it get so good!" Like, really, okay, we get it. Now either watch and shut up...or don't watch and shut up. :D

What's Smackdown?
Seriously though, it may have the odd good show but for the most part it's utter crap. There's nobody worth caring about on the show. If it were live and had more top level guys it'd be worth watching. But since it's on Friday's and really lacks in most areas, it's not worth watching an entire episode.

See, this is why I will never stop watching wrestling from here on out. I've been a fan for 15 years, and I know better than to abandon all hope, beacuse I usually end up missing something. When I stopped watching in 1996-97, I missed Austin's 3:16 speech and his major push. When I stopped watching in 2003-04, I missed quite a lot of small things that added up. I know now that things will eventually pick up when things look grim and uninteresting. :)

Yea, this clown doesn't count because he's just a huge crybaby who wants eveyone else to care about his misfortunes. Plus he's a Hulk Hogan mark, who thinks Hogan is actually still valuable.. Go live back in 87.
And I thought you weren't watching anymore anyway? So not only are you a crybaby, you are also a hypacrite within a few days. Good job

Whoa, easy there, killer! I meant no offense by it, just pointing out the fact that lots of people are somehow surprised by the fact that the product has gotten better since they abandoned/stopped watching it. I didn't mean to cause a fight. Truce?

I don't get why people would stop watching Smackdown, no matter how bad it gets what else is better than it on a Saturday Morning (when I watch it) SD's been really good lately,(ever since JBL got out of the title scene actually)

Dude. Just shut the fuck up already. You have no idea what you are talking about. Even though it's only been one promo, but Goldust was 1000x better than this Boogeyman gimmick will ever be.
Just run off and fuck up the caption threads.
God Hogan sucks.

Wow. Whatever you've got goin on over there Joey, I think you should see a doctor about it. Doesn't sound healthy.
Still not watching, LC, but I saw some pictures so I made a comment. I was just fucking around with you, but I probably shouldn't have bothered because you get incredibly defensive whenever somebody has a different opinion than you. You also might want to stop acting like a know it all all of the time. And you calling me a cry baby is kind of like Paris Hilton calling someone a whore.
Um...I think that about covers it.
Loose Cannon
10-16-2005, 01:28 AM
what have I cried about? And I'm not a "know it all," I just argue my points to the point where nobody can refute back. That's all :)
