Hey, in discussing Raw with some folks, the point where Coach yelled, "GORE! GORE! GORE!" when Edge Speared Big Show has come up.
They're saying it was a slip-up, which is "great because it's on live TV", and suggest that Coach is either hanging around with Joey Styles or watching TNA a bit too much.
I say actually, "Gore! Gore! Gore!" was an old Paul Heyman trademark, in case no one remembers it from Paul Heyman's days in the announcing staff of the WWE in 2001. It doesn't have much to do with the show being taped or live. It was just Coachman being obnoxious, since he's a heel.
What do you guys think?

I thought he slipped at first, but in retrospect I dunno

lol people who haven't seen raw are going to think rhyno's back by reading this topic
I don't understand how he could make such a huge mistake, it had to have been on purpose... everyone knows "GORE! GORE! GORE!" is Paul Heyman's trademark for calling Rhyno's finisher

I say he fucked up and got the name wrong. I guess it's an understandable mistake, as they are exactly the same move! I think it is pretty stupid for one of the announcers to incorrectly name finishers though, seeing as they are usually how we find out their names in the first place.
Why is this a spoiler? Raw was Monday.

I realized that, and thinking that would be funny, I made that the title anyway.:)

For anyone that may not have seen it. I think the typical rule is to wait about a week-ish.

I think it was intentional. Coach was already mocking the former announcers (JR, really), but really.
I think Coach was trying to emphasize the fact the JR overreacts to most things. It may have also been a crack at Heyman, but it was mostly to mock JR, whether he has used the term in the past or not.

I'm pretty sure I've heard JR use Heyman's catchphrase before anyway, so yeah.

Yeah, I think remember hearing him say it at least a few times...

I thought it was obviously intentional. I laughed. That was like his only entertaining part in announcing the entire night.

Well, this is just my take, but he spent the night mocking JR, right? And JR's the guy who referred to Christian's inverted DDT as "The Unprettier". So he was probably mocking JR's name-reference ability. I mean, that's what I figured, anyway.

Same here. Also, did he really say "Those steps ain't made of chocolate", or something like that? My TiVo ran out of room so it didn't record RAW. :( And I don't get MUN2.

I though that was damned funny when he yelled GORE! There were some other intential slip ups he seemed to do as well, though I can't remeber them. At least he will be entertaining. I hope next week he bust a nut over a scoop slam.

I loved the "In my 25 years in this business" line.

I'm still hooking everything up on my computer, but I've got a tape of Raw. If I get everything set up (I dunno, maybe a day or two tops) and nobody's offered, I can probably make clips of Raw.
