Alrighty so for those who don't know I make wrestling music videos and I need some help! I'm planning on making a DDP music video and I'm pretty much stuck on what music to choose. Does anyone have any suggestions for what song I can use for the music video?

Thanks!

haha no I was not kidding :)

Of course Nirvana is an obvious choice due to his theme song. However, while the style of the song is good to use the lyrics wouldn't go good for a wrestler like ddp! But thanks for the suggestions anyway!

You can't go wrong with Grab Them Cakes.

Seriously though - what tempo are you looking for, slow and emotional, or fast paced/upbeat.

Yeah, what kind of mood are you looking for? I might have some good suggestions. Or I might have some shitty ones. What sort of feel do you want?

It can be any type of song, fast or slow. Video can either be fast-paced or a slower, emotional type of video. Just pretty much give me all suggestions :) I'm willing to try anything people!:D

I'll do some thinking on that then. Do you have a preferred style of music?

No real specific style that I like. I dunno if this helps but I find that the best work i have done has been to the song Creed - my Sacrifice. Something like that type of song, where there are slow parts but also some fast parts as well. Like i said dunno if that helps a lot but something along the lines of that song ( that style of song) would be great. but like i said i am up to all and any suggestions!

Hmmm...Shinedown has the same sort of cadences as Creed at point. You might want to try "45" (Their single/hit) or "Fly From the Inside"

Actually, their entire first album is pretty generic mainstream alternative, and most could be put to use in this fashion. The ones that got radio play are just the most obvious. "Left out" also comes to mind.

Another possibly obvious choice is Marylin Manson's "The Nobodies." Not really slow and fast, but definitely light and heavy.

Not very Heavy, but Mission of Burma played "That's When I Reach for My Revolver" around a tempo shift between chorus and Verse.

More will probably occur to me.

Oh, if you don't mind some blatant religiousnessessess, Tribe of Judah has several solid songs that could probably make for good videos. "Thanks for Nothing" is their single and a ood shot. "Celibate" is more trance/industrial, "No One" would work probably...

Thank ya for the suggestions man :) I'm gonna download them now and see if any of them will work for a music video! I dunno if this helps but i am trying to make a video that captures the image of ddp. In the sense of him being hard-working, the "people's champion", a brawler, a fighting champion, etc. But I am downloading those songs as we speak, and if any more suggestions come to mind just post em :)

Well, DDP often says that you'll feel the bang, so how about....

There's always lesser known songs...

Johnny Hyde--Crash (The line "Bam Bam!" repeats over and over Though maybe that fits better with Foley)
Stone Coyotes--Bang Bang Bang Bang.

I know there are more songs with a Bang ref, but fuck if I can remember. These are ones I listen to regularly (Johnny Hyde's Here Comes the Breakdown is an awesome record...)
