During a conference call this afternoon, Kevin Nash broke the news that because of TNA’s strong performance on SpikeTV thus far, the network has awarded the promotion their first 2-hour primetime television special. The 2-hour primetime TNA special will air Thursday night, November 3rd from 9-11pm - 2 days after WWE’s Taboo Tuesday.
Spike TV will be pre-empting TNA iMPACT! on November 5th to air a live Ultimate Fight Night special. Original plans were to air iMPACT! on Thursday night at its usual time slot (11pm), but SpikeTV wants to see how TNA would do in primetime.
Should TNA perform well, it is very likely that iMPACT! could be moved to a more favorable timeslot than their current Saturday night at 11pm. There is speculation that TNA could get a block of time on either Thursday or even Monday nights.
