Rob Van Dam was a guest on the McDonnell-Douglas radio show here in Southern California Tuesday afternoon. McDonnell-Douglas, “The show of record in Southern California” is located at 710 AM in Los Angeles. It was a pretty fast one segment interview.
- RVD is still having fun with his comic book store. He still goes in every week. Al Snow will be the guest at the store Thursday. He will be signing autographs from 6-8 pm. RVD noted that he didn’t know if Al would be bringing “Head” but he might be looking for some!!!t.
- He talked about ECW crowds saying that the 2,000 from an ECW event can give off the same energy as 10,000 at a WWE event.
- On his contract negotiations, he said there is not a lot of movement right now but that everything is fine. There is nothing positive or negative to report at this time. He feels, though, that he will be with WWE for a long time.

I had a strange dream last night where Rhyno showed up in NWA-TNA, and was in the mainevent tagging up with Chris Jericho, then RVD came out. It was kewl though because Rhyno was really angry about the WWE when he arrived there, and was like throwing big metal boxes for some reason. Jericho came out to his old WCW theme but it was bit diffrent. RVD just showed up on the ring apron doing his RVD taunt. That's about all I can identify.

RVD is probably the coolest guy in the WWE right now.

So basically, the gist of the news is that there is no real news?

IMO RVD is Really Very Dull (see what i did there,i'm soo cool :wtf: )
I dunno if its because he aint allowed to be so intense and hardcore as he was during his ECW days, or if its because he injured about 15 people in his first few months in WWE, but he seems to have toned his ring style right down and thus lost his appeal to me.
CUE THE BACKLASH!!!!

CUE THE BACKLASH!!!!
No backlash rom me. He's still damn good in my opinion, but since everyone not named Shane McMahon or Paul LeVesque is being restricted in what they can do, he's less good than he was in ECW.
I'm not sure it's safety: I'm not convinced that they've done much to improve the safety of wrestlers, even after the tragic death of Owen Hart. I think they've paid lip service to the concept of safety, but when the boss' son can still badly injure someone as a house show, it's a sign that they really aren't thinking this whole "safety" thing through.
However, the fact that he injured a lot of people early on would be a great card to play in an attempt to devalue the ECW style of wrestling. Since Vince seems to hate anything he didn't create, this sounds like somewhere he might go, too.
He can still obviously do a lot...He pulled a great match out of a badly hurt Orton just about 2 weeks ago. It's just harder to appeal to people when you're neutered.

RVD is cool meaning that he's cool because he smokes weed, shows up late, says dude, and yeah, he just doesn't seem to take things too seriously. He'd be a cool guy to hang around with, and he doesn't seem stuck up or consceded
