Posted by Steve Carrier (carrierlp@hotmail.com) on 10/28/2005 at 10:24 PM
Edge has a partial pec tear and will be out of action. No word on how long he'll be out or if he'll work Taboo Tuesday. At this point, he will not need surgery.
Kane suffered a very serious back injury Monday on RAW after taking a suplex by Big Show. There is fear he suffered a broken back.
Chase Stevens of TNA is doing OK after a nasty head dive at the tapings this past week. Doctors have told him he'll be out 3-6 weeks but he may be back even sooner than that.
James Storm of TNA suffered some bruised ribs when he was powerbombed on the ringside railings at the pay-per-view this past Sunday.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Fuck :( Hope Jacobs is okay.
-------------
In other news, referee Brian Hebner has been fired by WWE. No details have been revealed as to why he was let go. It should be noted that Brian has had some behavior issues in the past. Earl and Dave Hebner coming under hot water from WWE management back in the summer and then being subsequently fired probably didn't help matters. WWE is now Hebner-less for the first time since the 80's.
Sabu has signed a legends contract with WWE. An action figure on him will be forthcoming.
------------------------------
Kid Kash's website, www.kidkash.net, has been taken offline as of today. WWE informed Kash that as long as he was working for them, he was not allowed to have his own exclusive site. It's probably safe to say that Kash is under close watch as well by the WWE office due to saying a little too much at times.
They are currently planning on running a program soon with Kash and Rey Mysterio on Smackdown, but with the midgets division be a focus of WWE's right now, it may be pushed back for a while.
-------------
Kash and Mysterio being held back by midgits? Jesus H. Fucking Christ.

How can Sabu sign a legends contract with the WWE when he was never really with them....
Man, they're REALLY milking this ECW cash cow. :nono:
Hope the rumor about Jacobs is just a rumor. It'd totally suck for him to come back and then have to get injured again. Guess he's out of the main event, even if he's voted in.

Honestly, I don't think his back is broken, as he was walking around. Herniated disc though, possible.

Hopefully this works for Kane somehow. Shawn Michaels won the voting last year with a bad leg, maybe, just maybe, Kane will win with a sore back.
Hope they all get better soon/find another place in the business. I noticed a new referee on SmackDown! this week. Does anyone know his name? Maybe he's Goose Mahoney from OVW or something?

He's a legend to a lot of people all over the world. He put FMW and
ECW on the map and was the biggest star of both promotions for years. I'd say that makes someone a legend.

Meh.
First of all, I'd hardly say Sabu put FMW on the map. I don't even think of Sabu when I think of FMW. He definately wasn't their biggest star.
ECW, I wouldn't say Sabu was there biggest star, or that he put them on the map either. ECW worked because of many people, not just one. Sabu couldn't have carried that company by himself. Plus, there are a few other people in ECW I think would come before him (Sandman, Raven, Dreamer, dare I say Taz.)
Don't get me wrong, I love Sabu, but he's not really a wrestling legend.
THen again, all this really means is that WWE is probably coming out with a Sabu DVD, or Legends of ECW DVD.

Fuck off. Maybe with ECW, but with FMW, I can count off my hand the number of wrestlers who I would put above Sabu in terms of being their biggest star, i.e. Hayabusa, Atsushi Onita, Masato Tanaka, and Mike Awesome.
As for putting FMW on the map, I believe that Atsushi Onita would have that honor, as it was his exploding ring, barbed wire match with Tarzan Goto that started the whole garbage wrestling trend.

Damn, this is become a tradition. Who gets injured right before Taboo Tuesday?
Damn Jacobs just cannot get a break these days. Hope he's alright cause if anyone deserves a bit of luck, it's him.

Hopefully Edge is out until he can get some wrestling skills and a personality. And that sucks for Kane to be out again so soon. On the bright side, with him out, the tag champs will have less of a squash to deal with. Which means they may keep their titles. But who am I kidding? Big Show'll win the titles all by his lonesome with his tag team squashing skills.
And isn't Sabu under contract with TNA? Won't they be slightly more than ticked that he's signed off all rights to...himself?
And why would Rey be programmed in with Kash? Kash is a cruserweight, ain't he? And Rey doesn't want to be associated with them anymore. But yes, this is just another reason to hate the 'juniors'. Why Simon Dean? Why?

If anyone else from Raw gets injured, they might actually have to push Shelton Benjamin.

He could have still broken portions of his spin without spinal chord damage. Even the "backbone" can have essentially hairline fractures, or be broken without the spinal cord being damaged, though the latter is unlikely.

Naw. Snitsky and Tomko are gonna get elevated, followed by Rosey. If worse comes to worse, Cade/Murdoch will split and feud with HHH.

That's bad news for kane with any luck the injury will work in his favour and after a lay off they can bring him back in a decent manner and push him.
As for edge I aint that bothered.

HArdy lost his job, got his pushed killed, and then was move to Smackdown! This is, of course, after one of his best friends banged his woman while almost no-one in the biz would stay loayl to Copeland.
Edge still is MitB, the WWE is high on him despite his mediocrity, and he's out for an injury that won't require surgery.
Yeah, Karma's really biting Edge in the ass.
May I point out how hot the fans are for Hardy, and how the fans didn't give a rats ass about what the pushed Edge had to say on Raw? The segment was dying until JBL saved it.

Agreed. Onita put FMW on the map.
As for ECW, I would say that Shane Douglas put it on the map. Only a handful of fans knew what Eastern Championship Wrestling was until Douglas threw down the NWA World Title on August 27, 1994. Granted, he wasn't their best wrestler or their most interesting character, but without that moment, there would have been no ECW.
Yes, maybe Sabu's feud with Taz was a big reason why ECW was eventually able to go to PPV, but without that Douglas/Scorpio match two and a half years earlier, it wouldn't have gotten that far.

It's good to hear that Sabu has signed a Legends contract. After all the sacrifices he has made for the business, it's nice to hear that he has some security and extra money without having to work as much for it. Plus, he'll probably have a cool action figure, and maybe appear in a future WWE game

The way I see it, if Kane is voted into the title match he'd still pretty much have to compete one way or another and it's going to be in the WWE title or (world) tag title match...after all, if we the fans vote on something for this tuesday's ppv it should happen regardless, then after Kane's match, determine if his injury will need surgery and/or time to heal, and act accordingly.

Sounds like he got a pretty big break, if you ask me.
Also, people with broken backs can walk, so long as their actual spinal cord isn't severed. It's not something you should do, but it's possible to do it.
Either way, god damn. And once again, fuck the juniors.

If Edge is injured, he will most likely hardly be invlved in the tag match.
Same for Kane if Kane goes to tag match.
If Kane's in the main event, he'll just have to take it as VKM says.
Kane can be hidden in a tag match at least. They can do a move to take him out early, and work on Show.
And FunkyFly - Fuck the Juniors is right.

Put Kane in the tag team match. Have him taken out coming down the ramp.
If you want a second person, have Rosey come in for the save. If not, just let Show or Michaels job after a beautiful heroic effort. Just don't risk it by putting Kane in a match PERIOD.

I like Edge, but I was really depending on him to be a saving grace for his team (over the inexperience of Masters, who isn't bad, just not amazing yet), so I think they should have him tae the night off. They could even play it up as him being afraid of Matt Hardy, his brother, JBL, Hardcore Holly or his former tag team partner. You can either do this at the show, or have him reveal it on RAW and let us vote on a replacement for Edge.
Either way, I hope to God they let Shelton Benjamin into the match. Shelton vs. Christian, Shelton vs. Hardy & Shelton vs. Mysterio are enough to get me moist. Shelton vs. Holly would be great, and I can even see Shelton vs. JBL as being good.
As for Kane, I know I should be thinking of his health, but I would have him go out there and compete. Not hardcore competing, just destroying everything. If by some miracle Kane gets into the main event, I'd have Cena & Angle work it alone for twenty minutes or so when BOOM! Here comes Kane, picking up the scrabs, Chokeslam/chair shot to Angle and Cena respectively, 1-2-3. If he's in the tag team match, I'd probably have Big Show win the titles by himself somehow (make it look sorta flukey) and have Show get pissed at Kane when he returns.

Even Masters amused me more. One of his lines had all three "haters" watching it laughing at it.
JBL really is one of the best promo men active in the wrestling scene. He made that promo. I hate to admit it, but I love the nazi-esque shower raping bastard.

Geez, is it really worth it for Kid Kash to be a slave to WWE? Must wear suits everywhere you go out in public, cannot have personal non-sanctioned website.
Oh yeah, about that no-websites deal... why is it that every single WWE wrestler on the face of this planet (save for Brock Lesnar) can have a web site, but not Kid Kash?
Now, if WWE misuses him and makes him look like an ass, I would tell hiim to get out as quickly as possible.

Yup. Anyone who has to adhere to a dress code at work, or who works for a company that doesn't want him or her to give out certain company information is a SLAVE.
Jesus fucking Christ. I have nothing against some of the undercard workers, but for fuck's sake, anytime anything's said to them in terms of enforcing rules, they're being treated unfairly and should quit.
