Matt Striker has some major locker room heat on him right now. PWTorch.com reports that there was a huge incident where he was yelled at by Eddie Guerrero, almost beat up by Hardcore Holly, and thrown out of the locker room by Chris Benoit.

Would love to know more specifics on these individual incidents here...

That doesn't sound like Benoit to me. Judging by what I have heard (In some wrestlers books) Benoit is a really nice guy.
I guess that sometimes Eddie can lose his temper, but there's no surprise that what Holly is doing.:-\

Striker is on the raw roster and all the wrestlers featured are primarily smackdown guys. I know that guys from both roster see each other but it seems a bit suss that the only wrestlers that are featured are sd guys.
And that dosnt seem like benoit at all.

Maybe Benoit threw him out just to prevent him from having his head ripped off.

Matt Striker was making jokes at Raw, with Smackdown doing a show elsewhere and made a joke about Hardcore Holly and asked "He is away right?" and everyone said yes because he was at SD! and then hardcore broke through a wall and kicked his ass.

You think if more reports come out like this he'll be getting Triple H heat from the smarks?

No, I think the smarks will defend him tooth and nail.

Watch out, you will get flamed mercilessly for that. The slobbering rabid little smarks on this board will go fucking crazy if you imply that they are marks.
You're right, ust pointing out something I learned from experience.

Stop using the word 'mark', KK. It's meant for the wrestlers to be using, not us simpleton internet fans. :foc: [/flair]

Totally right - I hate it when smarks refer to marks like they're better than them. If you are a wrestling fan, you're a mark, plain and simple. If KK is right, and Destor gets criticised, I'm with him on this one for sure.

The biggest offender is simply not present, so unless he comes back...
...But I've made threads to this end in the past, and gotten shit for it.
I won't pretend that some of us aren't in the know, but if you're a fan, you're a mark. If you're a fan of Benoit, you may be looking for different qualities, but you're a freaking mark.
All "smart" really means in carnie terms is someone who's wise to the game. Smart checklist:
Do you know that wrestling is staged?
Do you know how things work?
If you can answer 50% of those questions correctly, you're part of a minority of 95% of people over three with any sort of common sense at all.
If you answered 100% yes, you're part of the wrestling fandom, nothing special, but you're aware of what's going on. Big deal.
Then you get the people who actually call themselves smarks, who think they know what's best for wrestling, that they're better fans than everyone else, etc. 85% of them suck. There are a number of them who are not this huge sucking waste of space, but you usually end up with the mentally handicapped ones.
The core point though is if you're not a wrestling "mark," "smart" or not, you don't have any place on a wrestling board. The only non-marks involved in wrestling seem to be the WWE writers, and a few of the wrestlers (Brock's love seemed to be money, not wrestling).
And believe me, the smarks will defend their faves to the death. Kurt Angle could tattoo a swastika on his forehead and start killing Jews and blacks, and the smarks would defend him like mere mortal marks defend Hogan or Taker. Benoit could rape someone in the showers and it'd be the cool thing to do. And if Jericho was holding down the roster....Well, Hell would freeze over...but that's not the point.
:y:

To me, a smark is a special mark. Meaning a mark that, sure he's in "the know", but he's also a mark in some regard. You can't watch wrestling and not be a mark in some way.
Hell, I got my girlfriend into wrestling, and now she's a Kennedy mark. But I've made sure that she's also a smark, in that she knows what's really going on, and what the difference between storyline and reality is. It isn't easy, what with WWE blurring the lines lately.
Do you know how hard it is to explain the Hardy-Edge-Lita fiasco without thinking about suicide?

Tell that to the smarks around here though.
Most of the people who name themselves as "smarks" don't really confess to being marks. They're also generally misinformed on some level.
Honestly, I don't mind that interpretation, it's just out of synch with the way most of the self-proclaimed "smarks" act.
Everyone who watches wrestling is a mark or an idiot. If you're not watching wresting because you like it, you are an idiot. And yet, so many of these wretling fans are so quick to claim they're not marks.
To me, a smark is a special mark
What about a 'Spark'? That could mean 'Special Mark' or 'Bob Holly Fan'

Or they're an idiot...on some level. ;)
I consider myself a smark, in the sense that I'm a mark "in the know".
I think the definition of "mark" is equivalent to the debate on "n00b" vs. "newbie". To most, a "n00b" is a person that acts like a moron and doesn't know shit about shit, while a "newbie" is simply somebody who is new to a forum but still acts like a normal human being.
In some regards, there are two definitions of "mark". The one that most smarks hold to is that a mark is a person who can't distinguish reality from storyline and who thinks that the wrestlers really are who their characters are, even in real life. But to me and you and other intelligent people ;) a mark is simply someone who likes to watch wrestling and can suspend disbelief while watching it, much like people can be submersed into a really good movie and whatnot.
(Much better than my "stupid moms and garbage wrestling" argument, no? :p )

Striker: WOOOOOOOO I'm on TV!:D
WWE: In the U.K.

I've read this in a few diff places, I think it's legit.
That'll be because that's how the net works - the Observer Newsletter, PWInsider, or, on rare occasion, the Torch reports something, and then all the little pissant sites (which is basically every other website you can think of on the internet not called Wrestling Observer or PWInsider) take it and slap it up, with no checking into it's legitimacy. Not to say the story isn't true, but let's keep perspective here.

-- To follow up on the story about the major heat on Matt Striker, who was brought over for a dark match on SmackDown, he allegedly made comments backstage about the RAW vs. SmackDown situation.
He claimed that RAW was the more professional of the two amongst other things, to members of an already-upset SmackDown roster with how the RAW/Smackdown angles have gone. Needless to say, in a locker room with guys like Bob Holly and JBL, that probably wasn’t a good idea.
He was physically thrown out of the locker room after getting heated words from Chris Benoit, JBL, Eddie Guerrero, and almost being beaten up by Hardcore Holly.

I love that last sentence. It's like you could add it onto any Smackdown backstage news that gets printed.
Like:
"Eddie Guerrero and JBL hve had backstage problems recently due to a clash in religion. They settled their differences over a a cup of hot chocolate and almost being beaten up by Hardcore Holly."
"Vince McMahon will be on Smackdown to speak about his family, his company, his balls and almost being beaten up by Hardcore Holly."
"Chris Benoit will be out of action for 4 months due to a recurrence of his neck injury and almost being beaten up by Hardcore Holly."
