View Full Version : A few questions of WWE's editing...
First of all, does the WWE have matches without commentary, so they can use the non-commentary version to censor out "WWF" and the like?
Also, do they have some without the logo bugs? I've noticed some of their WCW and even later WWF footage has the WWE logo in it's place. (And I'm not referring to when they use a bigger, padded version of the WWE logo to block out the WWF logo.)

I assume the bugs were superimposed, so they'd still have the raw footage with no logos on it.

IIRC, they use the same sort of multitrack recording process you would see in a concert environment. They can drop out the phrase "WWF" my removing the audio in that channel in the mix.

I believe they can censor stuff out because no Ventura Commentary is on some matches and yeah I have noticed the WWE logo in attitude era things as well.

They add the commentating to HeAT and Velocity afterwards because sometimes when you see the commentator table either theres no one there or its clear there not even talking. There was a time Josh Mathews was saying something and the camera got a close up of a pin or something and you could see Josh in the background not moving his mouth but there was still commentery going on from him.

Yeah, but I'm talking about WrestleMania, RAWs, and SmackDown!s...
I figure that they do have what KK said, but I've noticed that a few of the times they've edited something out it's really obvious that they had to dub over other crowd noise.

Case in point: the ring destruction by Brock and Big Show, where they bleeped out Tazz and everything else also. :D
