Could someone make a quick post here about what the deal is exactly now with RAW? What's this I read about 'WWE Unlimited' and stuff? Is JR gone for good now and Styles is RAW's No.1 or what?

I'm a bit behind with news and stuff at the moment. There's a rep in it for ya :y:

Joey did play by play for Taboo Tuesday the other night, but it seems as though he's going to become a fixture for Raw.

Just a thought come to my head. I would love for WWE to go to Alaska and get Paul Ellering to do color with Styles as play-by play. Styles and Ellering together would be gold I think.

I saw the name Paul and thought 'Heyman'.

Holy crap

That would be AWESOME. Heyman plays your 1980's colour heel guy to Styles' Gorilla Monsoon

Having Heyman do RAW would surely be better than what he's doing now

I've never heard Styles' commentary except for ONS, so I can't say much about him, but when Heyman temporarily replaced Lawler in 2001, it was HEAVEN. He was awesome and I actually didn't want Lawler to return.

So how about Heyman, Coach, and Styles? I'd see Coach as the guy who doesn't get a lot of inside jokes between Styles and Heyman and would play it off well.

Unless Heyman and Styles have some bad blood that I don't know about. Do they?

Styles is prolly tied with Gordon Solie as the best play by play man in the business all time. Many dont know that Vince offered Solie a large contract to be the WWF's lead play by play guy starting at the first WM but he turned it down. Heyman not only has the voice but the charisma and knowledge of the business. Styles and Heyman would make an excellent team as well.:y:

I dunno about their realtionship but didnt Heyman owe Styles money?

Not that I know of. Styles was an ECW mainstay right 'til the end

I'd keep Coach out of the picture though (maybe send him to SmackDown! as the colour guy or keep him on RAW in that Bischoff lackey heel type character). He plays it well

Despite the criticism he has had lately, Jim Ross is my no.1 all time pick. I don't believe anyone can deny that he is one of the all time greats

Taboo Tuesday was a test for Joey Styles to see if he could impress WWE with his commentating, if they liked him they would make him the permanent replacement for Jim Ross.

WWE were very impressed with Styles and Lawler's commentry by the way.

Yeah I like JR alot too. He was gold in the 80's and the 90's and in 01 with Heyman. He knew how to call a classic match. He is up there as one of the all time greats in annoucing. But it seemed everyone wanted him out when he started comparing turnbuckles to chocolate.

Could you imagine Styles with a healthy Hennan????

But it seems from what he usually said in ECW matches that Styles is not a Hennan fan.

Styles and Heyman would be VERY interesting. Styles the face, Heyman the heel. That'd be a potentially amazing combo.

Styles and King would be good too, methinks.

I like Styles and King. Actually, I think having Styles on his own would be better.

Styles and Heyman on Smackdown, Lawler and King on RAW. I don't give half a shit about Michael Cole, and Tazz.......well, lets be honest with ourselves.

Yes. And it's best that you realize this early.
