You guys know Benoit morre than I do, as you know Benoit's contract expires in three weeks, and much like Christian, he is getting low balled, Benoit's new contract has Benoit being payed half of what he used to be making, Christian told them to shove it, but what will Benoit do?

Benoit's Current WWE Storylines

Benoit is currently in a US title feud with Booker T, he lost his title two weeks ago, and probably wont be getting it back.

How 2005 treated Benoit

Badly, really, Smackdown was actually a reward for Benoit as he was lost in mid card on Raw. Smackdown saw him dominate OJ, but WWE has took away his US title.

Benoit's Backstage Attitude

Chris Benoit's well known for being a nice guy backstage that never gets into any trouble or breaks the rules, what will he say to his new contract, will he say 'Sure, okay...' or 'Fuck you Vince, me and Christian will see you on TNA...'

I don't think he'll resign. He'll either take a break or go to TNA only because he is being abused like crazy in WWE.

its either go to TNA, take a break or stay with WWE and keep getting burned by the storylines. so i think he will stay with WWE as he has for so many years but then again who really knows except beniot

They'll negotiate something with Benoit. Benoit has a spot in Japan anytime he wants it.

He'll sign his contract, then he'll job on velocity then ask to be realesed, I have nothing against him, I just see things going that way, the trade to SD was a bad move for him.

I see him resigning.

He'll probably re-sign. Letting a guy that you've buried and never given a chance to look anything more than an upper mid-carder go is one thing, but letting go a former two-time World Champion, Royal Rumble Winner (from the #1 position, no less) and a guy who headlined WrestleMania XX is a completely different animal.

The WWE probably aren't so foolish as to let The Benoit get away.

He'll re-sign. WWE wouldn't let someone like Benoit get away. Pretty much what Alienoid said.

Well, they don't exactly have to LET him get away.

I'm not picking on your opinion, but...

do any of the achievements acctually mean anything? it's not like he's a pro-baller who has helped his team win the superbowl. I mean, the WWE "management" scripted him to win the belt & the rumble.. they could make anyone 2 time champion/rumble winner...
I guess what I'm saying is, he was "allowed" to win these things, so is he really that important? (obviously he's "the crippler"). but if they can axe anyone with no reason, why not him.
so in the WWE's eyes is he any different from any of the others they've let go?

Yeah but so many superstars are getting abused by WWE anyway.

Benoit will stay. The situation between Christian and Benoit are completely different. One was a buried mid-carder who was only given a month-long sniff between the main event while Benoit has been given countless title shots and has received a monster push that led him winning the title at perhaps the biggest ppv of all time.

And Benoit is still always pushed as a threat. I hope that Benoit goes to TNA. He will just continue to wallow in midcard hell. And Benoit is a pretty calm reasonable guy as well plus he has great friends like Jericho, Eddie and Dean Malenko( wwe road agent) with the wwe.

I think he's going to resign. Then what will Benoit do? I bet he'll kick an ass or two, thats what Chris Benoit will do.

If they try to black ball him like they did with Christian, I think he'll go, plus judging how Smackdown ratings, house shows and PPV's are falling pretty badly right now I can see them offering him less money.

If there's anyone in the wrestling world who has nothing to prove it's Benoit he did everything the hard way without brown nosing and just let his work do the talking, chances are he's not going to be that high ever again within the WWE, I bet he's doing alright money wise, plus his body is a mess generally.

The guy deserves a lighter schedule and to do what he wants, so unless he gets more money (which I doubt) I see him going

It would suck making half of what you made. Thats why Bobby Hennan left the WWF way back. Getting Benoit would be a major coup for TNA but I think if he left WWE he would go to Japan.

You know, Beniot does not draw a crowd. Sure he is one of the best workers, but he never did get over a whole hell of a lot with the marks. And if he doesn't re-sign and goes to TNA, it isn't going to help TNA all that much.

I mean, remeber when the Radical jumped ship from WCW to WWE? It was cool an all, but after the inital impact of the jump, no one really cared about Saturn or Dean, then Eddie got injured and Beniot was just started bouncing around in the mid-card never going anywhere (yes, even his title run was still mostly in the mid card and over shadowed by a botched evolution storyline).

So, I alls I'm sayin' is that WWE will dictate how the new contract comes out because while it would suck if Beniot left I'm sure they could just find someone more charismatic, like for instance a coffee pot.

He will resign. I don't have any set reason for saying that, just a feeling I have in my gut.

If he left to TNA, it would be a MONSTROUS ACQUISITION. Could definately put TNA on the map.

I also believe that he will re-sign. He might play hardball, but eventually he'll sign, only to remain a joke on Smackdown. The man should walk away and help start a movement along with Christian, but it's unlikely.

Hopefully go to TNA
