View Full Version : TNA should NEVER listen to their fans!

For the first time, I'd honestly have to say that TNA should be the only company to NOT listen to their fans. I've always said how WWE, WCW, etc have ignored their fans when they should've listened, but TNA is the opposite.
Hands down, that company has the shittiest fan base ever! They have no clue whatsoever about booking and marketing. If TNA listens to them, I'd expect their company to die in a few months.
Their goal for TNA is to be a company that nearly eliminates most storyline...and their idea is that the casual fan will eat up and already knows who AJ Styles is. One talked about bringing in Brock Lesnar and a bunch of them wrote, "brock has no talent, Matt Bentley, Sonjay Dutt etc are worth more than him!" :wtf: Is what I thought

Someone please delete one of these.

Yeah because booking and marketing are much more important to wrestling fans than actual good wrestling.

I'm all for good wrestling, but there obviously needs to be some form of heavy entertainment and good storyline in there for the casual fan to get interested in. It's called using one's brain.
Going for straight up all wrestling with little to no storyline results in that .9 rating they got.

I'm with ya. They're marks for the most part. To get where TNA has gotten they've acquired a cult following, that believes the TNA is in the right in all actions. They have no interest in marketing (which yes Sadistic, it is more important than wrestling as it makes money) or intelligent booking. They only want to see what fits their personal tastes of wrestling should be, and not what sells. And that makes them marks.

TNA is fine right now.
Sure it's not groundbreaking TV and still needs work, but I find TNA far more enjoyable then WWE. TNA needs to focus on its strong points which its wrestling and the other things will come eventually.

Strong Points: Good workers.
Weakpoints: Jarrett, Storylines, Jarrett, poor Character Development, Jarrett, overall lack of Psychology, and did I mention Jarrett?

Yeah, you know what'd be awesome? If their wrestling was so good they lost their TV deal and went bankrupt! They'd be so underground then that I could actually be a fan of them!

Show me a successful (IE, one that has had a national TV deal and was fairly well known and popular) without any shitty wrestlers and/or little to no storylines...
You aren't going to find one. The fact is that wrestling, since at least the 70s or so, has been about entertainment for the most part. Sure there are going to be a lot of matches, some good and some bad, but no wrestling promotion is going to get over on good wrestling alone.

Yeah, and the fact that he was an NCAA champ who was actually really a wrestler does nothing to DESTROY that stupid comment. :)

Brock is an awesome wrestler, horrible showman and preformer.
You have to give it up to him... As much as I hate to admit it name one big man that can pull of a shooting star press (half the time). You can't take away his credits for what he did before he went pro... They should have made Brock do the whole Ice Man, Dean Malenko thingie. It would have been a lot better than his monster thing.

I'm sick of all this bullshit "TNA needs to be more like WWE".
All I hear is TNA needs gimmickes, storylines, marketing etc.
I say fuck that. If you want gimmicks and storylines watch WWE. If you want good wrestling watch TNA. We already have WWE, we don't need another federation to be an exact copy. TNA do something different and everyone is negative. Jesus.

so it's better that they copy WCW?
Some people are negative, you're just too busy looking for a reason to bitch at fans who don't think what you do. It's why you get 'tard slapped so often. If you want positivity, don't be a negative little whiny bitch. Lead by example, not by hypocrisy.

Yeah! Sadistic is right. They need to ignore the millions of viewers who want thats kind of entertainment and focus on the select few who like their product. Anti-TNA commies!

So you'd rather see them fail than be entertaining (which is apparently somehow actually copying the WWE, though they're not really that entertaining)?
Good for you You've shown yourself to be a true fan.

I like the style TNA is presenting. I don't want them to change. If they fail they fail, at least they wouldn't change their style just to please a few negative morons who think every wrestling fed should be a copy of WWE.
Looks like in today's world you can't offer the fans something different.

They wont become a carbon copy of WWE, but they need to cater to the widest audience possible. They need to draw in as many viewers as possible and provide them with something that is fresh and different, yet similar to WWE b/c that is what most casual fans are drawn too. Once TNA develops a larger, more dedicated fanbase, then they can expand and let their product evolve into something else.

A few negative morons? Considering the negativity you're sspewing, I'd say look in the mirror. :)
.9 ratings, baby. I wouldn't say it's just a few. You don't even listen to yourself, do you? While you whine that "you can't offer the fans something different," You can, and stop being such a huge drama queen. You still have to be entertaining, however. Copying a failed wrestling division (What they're doing now) is no better than copying a failing one (Which you're whining about them doing if they dare stop being vanilla).

Just because you add storylines and promos doesn't mean you have do it like the "E". There are many ways to this, that are different and can be unique to TNA......forget that part. THEM DAN NEGITIVE MORANS DONT KNOW WHAT THEY Are TalkING ABOUT. TNA is FOR US they cant have IT! BE LIKE I WANT THEM TO BE BECAUSE its what I like. TNA TNA TNA. SCREW THERE SUCESS! TNA!

In fact, the WWE fanbase would like an alternative (I'd wager). The problem is, TNA's not a viable alternative. They can succeed within imitating the WWE (Especially since imitating the WWE means sucking right now).

What Sadistic is saying is what 99% of the TNA fans on their message board says against me and Destor. It's the same shit over and over again. "I don't care what they say!!! i luv tna the way it is! no stoopid storylines, only wrestling!"
What KK said is pretty much what I've been telling all the kids there. I told them, if that's their vision of TNA, then I guess we can all just kiss it goodbye already!

I think TNA needs to start running house shows.
The fact of the matter is that TNA WANTS to live and WANTS to make money. It's a business. Promotions like ROH and CZW aren't trying to make money. They're trying to cater to the smark*/underground crowd. TNA is trying to be a business and compete with another business, much like all the companies in the real world do.
If TNA wanted to stay underground and cater to the underground fans, they should have stayed with the weekly PPVs, or even stayed with FSN or another not-so-widely seen station. The fact that they tried so hard to get on Spike is proof that they want to go at it with the WWE, and the ONLY way to do that is to use the decades-old pro wrestling formula.
*Please note that I am in no way connecting smarks with CZW.

Exactly. Try telling that to their fans though.
LOL That's why I said that I hope TNA doesn't listen to their fans because they don't want what's best for the company. They want what's best for their underground interests.
