But Donovan McNabb and the rest of the Eagles need to stop being such pussies. What good does it do to suspend T.O. and then go pout in a corner while he works his way back?

Don't take shit so personally, jesus christ, I mean when T.O. says that go up to him and say "Maybe we could be undefeated with Randy Moss." You don't have to take everything personally, make it a joke, play around, have fun. Give him shit in practice, he's just a player like the rest of them. You know he's not the only egotistical prick in the league, so instead of whining when he says something, play around and give him shit in practice. Make him one of the guys. Running away from the problem isn't helping you or your team, embrace it.

T.O. had a news conference today and said that he apologizes to the team, reid, the orginazation and Mcnabb. If I were the Eagles, I'd suck it up and see if he can take you to the promised land and then release him in the off season.

Yes, BCWWF I'll turn heel with you too, because I for one am becoming a TO supporter.

I'm not a fan of him anymore, the contract holdout issue just got too stupid, but the Eagles are most certainly creating drama over what should be locker room type banter.

Except he doesn't want to be one of the guys. He wants to be above all of them. If he wanted to be one of the guys he wouldn't go to the media with his problems. The Eagles told him to stop and he didn't. It's his own fault.

BCWWF
11-08-2005, 04:03 PM
They are letting him not be one of the guys by isolating him and letting him go to the media. They could make his life a living hell there if they really wanted to, but they are making their own instead.

Supreme Olajuwon

How is TO crying to the media the Eagles' fault? They didn't hold a mic in front of his face and tell him to badmouth the organization and their franchise player.

all this shit because the team didn't make a big deal about his 100th TD catch? fuck TO. he did this in SF and now he's doing it in Philly.

the Eagles will be just fine without him, because either way they still won't beat the Giants.

BCWWF

It's not the Eagles fault that T.O. is being a douche bag, but it is their fault for the shitty way they have responded to it. T.O. knows he is the man, he put them over the edge last season and when he hasn't played this year the Eagles don't look like a playoff team. They allowed him to get up on a high horse, and he will never get down if they keep pouting in the corner. They can let him go, but it is no secret that it hurts the team more than it hurts him. If they void his contract, he will just sign somewhere else, make them better, get the contract he wants, and the Eagles will continue to be average. If they really wanted to make something happen, why not punish him in practice? Don't give him the spotlight, it's what he wants. Piss him off, make him run, put him through hell, but don't make a public spectacle about it and don't pretend like this is hurting him at all.

BCWWF, until you learn to understand that the player is not the team, you'll never understand the ownerships' reasons. It's not always about winning. Many players have been traded or not drafted or released because of that players attitude. The team, the organization, comes first.

BCWWF
11-09-2005, 01:33 AM
You talk to me like I'm stupid. I understand the ownerships reasons for giving him the boot. Everybody does. I also understand that the ownership, coaches, and team leaders (ie McNabb) fucked up, which is why they have to cut the most talented member of their offense. There is no doubt that he is an egotistical prick, but there are ways to deal with that. Bill Parcells wouldn't let him come to spring training and give everybody the silent treatment. You can't stand for that, and if he calls you out through ESPN, you don't have to go to ESPN and respond. You can go to the practice field and let the Eagles defense respond. If you let somebody be an egotistical prick, they will be one.

Supreme Olajuwon
11-09-2005, 03:10 AM
They didn't go to ESPN and respond. They dealt with it and then informed the public like they are supposed to. You can't blame the Eagles for not controlling him. That'd be like blaming the Vikings because Randy Moss ran over a cop. The Eagles shouldn't have to babysit a 30 year old man.

"Drew, what have you done for Terrel besides get him kicked off the team?"

Settle down, BCWWF. I've never said you were stupid. The only person in this thread to use those words are you. I feel you are wrong in your summation of the facts and events. It seems like everyone else (so far) also thinks the same thing I do.

Dunno,

Perhaps they can trade him to Green Bay if he wants to play with Favre so much. Who knows, they may even be able to catch the Bears and land a playoff spot .

Piss him off, make him run, put him through hell, but don't make a public spectacle about it and don't pretend like this is hurting him at all.

You don't know that this sort of thing hasn't happened before and been kept in-house though. It could have happened every week for all we know.

Hes a good guy with no criminal record. But it seems he's seflish and greedy and not a team player. Then again he was in tears earlier in the year saying he you dont know whats going on behind the scenes personally.

ya know, I'm becming less of a TO fan.

They had someone on from Philly today with the whole "list" of what TO's done.

fights with hugh douglass.

upset of his contract

refused to apoligize to McNab.

After getting slammed by Douglas challanged anyone on the team to a fight.

The last straw aparently was a group of players went to Reid and said "we've had enough of him" and that's when Reid suspended him.

They had other stuff, I forgot the whole list.

So, where's he go next year?

Oakland? Dallas? Atlanta?

He apologized to the team, McN, Reid, the owner, and basically everyone in Philly.

He should fire his agent and hire someone with half a brain, though.

That idea has been kicked around, Dillon was supposed to be a "bad egg", Brian Cox also.

No one questions Owens on field, he gives it all, and carried the Eagles in the superbowl on a bad leg.

However, Owens may just be too much even for Belicheck, plus, Owens wants big money, the Pats rarely spend big money.

Terrell Owens is without a doubt one of the best WR's in the league. Off the field he has major issues, whether you want to attribute that to his agent or whatever. Even on the field he has certain issues, for example, arguing with teammates on the sideline. Things like that ought not to be tolerated and rightfully so. When you act like TO does, you deserve what TO got.

Mr. Monday Morning
11-09-2005, 06:04 PM
He didn't have Rosenhaus as his agent when he acted out in San Fran, so even though he doesn't help matters I don't think you can put it all on him.

Yeah, but keep in mind in SF all he really wanted was out of his contract.

Although, didn't he call Garcia gay or something? (isn't or wasn't Garcia dating that playmate of the year what was in the Diva search?)

yeah, his then agent didn't file right, so he wasn't an un-restricted free-agent, they fought it, got a trade, didn't want to go to Baltimore, endup in Philly on I think a 1 or 2yr deal, wanted out of that...

it's all about money.

Rosenhause was just brought in, to get him money and that's what he does, he's the "super agent" and a dirty one at that.

On a side note, people bring up Baltimore as a home for him, he wouldn't go there before... imagine if he goes their now and Ray Lewis kills him in a practice drill :)

Nervous Ferret

lol that would be hilarious if he got traded to Baltimore for like a 3rd round pick

Rosenhaus is a moron, he failed at getting T.O. his promised contract and is therefore a failure. FAILURE I SAY

Dillon isn't even close to what TO is. Dillon wants to win more than anything else. TO is much more selfish.

Plus I doubt TO would want to come play with Rodney Harrison after he called him a selfish jerk.

BCWWF
11-10-2005, 03:33 AM
Well Rodney Harrisson pretty much cleared up any doubt that T.O. will never play on the Pats last night

VonErich Lives
11-10-2005, 04:21 AM
yeah, it's funny Harrison being injured has still been around the team, at games etc... but he's been quiet and with the exception of Brady once, no one has really stepped up to be a mouth peice. Everyone has been waiting for Harrison to go off, he's still been doing the weekly radio shows that he did when healthy and well... finally...

The bigger sound clip around here is he ripped Duane Starks for poor playing and making excuses.

By the way, Starks wasn't at pratice yesterday, his locker still had stuff in it, but rumor is he may be done.
