Not to make light of the current situation with Eddie Guerrero, but does anyone have any idea what the original plan was for the triple threat? Was he scheduled to win the title before his untimely passing?

I think so. Or Orton, but with the whole Undertake thing, I'm not too sure the latter would make sense

Steph's speech sort of hinted at it in an indirect way. She said that he told him he'd be champ soon, but that might be their way of saying they were gonna give it to him, since they can't just announce something like that on TV.
I'm sure we'll find out from Metzer soon.

Those were my thoughts exactly.

Oh well alright then. I guess in the end it doesn't matter too much. Eddie Guerrero didn't need a gold belt for people to recognise the champion he was.

Well, just as long as Orton doesn't get the belt ever again.
Benoit might win the WWE title as a tribute to Eddie, or Orton will win it.

Not that I wathc smackdown, but I would rather see Beniot's boring ass as a 2 time champion than Orton's non-deserving ass as a one time champion.

Yes, I know Orton is already a one time champion.

Snese the other one'll prolly get locked...
You know, now that he's gone, they can say that they promised him their CEO spot, the moon, Stephanie's "Pie," Whatever.
Let's think about this for a second.
