View Full Version : WWE is supposed to fear TNA?
The One

TNA Impact did a 0.7 rating this past week.
That is the lowest rating to date.
TNA's ratings are going down, oh and by the way the last episode of Velocity (which also aired on Spike TV) was a 0.6.
Now I love TNA, hell I enjoy their product more then WWE's...but can we PLEASE stop saying TNA is posing some kind of threat?

I think a 2 hr slot any day except Monday and Friday would be great for them..and they'd gradually grab more people as the years went on.
Sat night is a terrible night...except from 6-8.
But of course, they're no threat to WWE at the moment.

I thought he was a CZW fan. :?:
He seems to think that any fed is better than WWE and if you even dare suggest that WWE is still better than all the indy feds, he will instantly refer to the match between Cena and JBL at WM 21. Then proceed to tell people "not to judge CZW on one match."

Yeah, he's so desperate to trash the WWE he'll say stupid thihngs like "If you've ever watched any indy wrestling you wouldn't think that!" Because there are no bad indy feds, no bad matches in any promotion.
He's insisted that one viewing of TNA will bring people back forever. He'll blissfully ignore this information that the ratings are down, whine that we judge the card by the main event, and so on and so forth.

Yeah, and it's not like any of us has seen or... You know, GONE to an Indy event... Because only the COOL guys on the CZW and TNA boards go to and watch INDY shows.
And that's another thing, if TNA is so great, why watch the Indies?

And the only good wrestling involves lightbulbs.
It's funny, because he kept using those claims after I pointed out my history of travelling to indy events in Mass. They even come to VT, sometimes. Most of the time, I had to road trip though.

PReaching to the choir. I was one of the "wait and see" people when everyone said they'd be dead in 6 months.
But they're not threatening the WWE now, and won't soon.

Well up here in Canada, (at least where I live) Spike TV has been moved around on the channels. They reshuffled some channels, they also seemed to have have moved TNA's air time to later in the night. Neither of these things are good for the product.

TNA's slot down here is definitely hurting it.
Moving is probably damaging too,.

I'm right. Indy wrestling is far superior to WWE's style of boring, repetitive crap. And why can't I refer to Cena vs. JBL? It was smackdown's WRESTLEMANIA MAIN EVENT. You know? The match that is supposed to be the GREATEST.

If I wanted rep, I'd do another Ruse Repor, as those are the primary source of my rep. However, the last one I was working onfeatured a couple Eddie/Kerwin jokes, and I'm not going to post that in light of what happened.
Anyway, That you're making the claim that I'm trying to earn rep or make a name off of you. That's like saying the Rock is trying to get put over by Spike Dudley.

Dude, I'm seriously beginning to wonder if you've EVER been to an indy event in your life. Quality varies from promotion to promotion, and even from day to day. Some of them out and out suck, and make Vince's poopy jokes and necrophillia look damn good. Oh, but you're not IGNORING that fact.
What, did you hear about CZW online one day and decide to fake an interest in indy promotions, or are you simply that much of a retard? This elitism stuff is funny to watch, but really, do you live anywhere near reality?
Oh wait, lightbulbs=good storytelling. I forgot. You have no taste.

Yes. I watch the show that makes more money. Why? In that pool of crap that they have, and I WILL admit that the WWE can be shitty (something you can't do with TNA or CZW), they have the BEST performers outside of Japan, and some, like Angle and Benoit, are BETTER than a lot of Japan, and I'm not afraid to say that. Between the shit that the WWE puts out, they pull off 5 star matches with 5 star wrestlers.
The MAJORITY of the Indies is major shit. There are some great wrestlers in the Indies and in TNA, and I will never say otherwise, but you can't say that they don't put out shit products just because they're not the WWE. Have you seen some of the ridiculous Indy gimmicks out there? Apparently not. Apparently you only get "best of" shows and shows that EVERY CZW and TNA fan praises. You NEVER mention that TNA and CZW have shit in the product, oh no, they're the saving grace of the wrestling industry.
Shall I remind you of some of TNA's shit? Let's see... There was the Johnson's, Kevin Nash, Midgets, Jeff Jarrett. Oh no, TNA has never been shit. They've always been and still are the best fucking promotion out there and no one can say otherwise, right?
The money thing also goes right back to my statements in another thread. TNA is TRYING to compete with the WWE. They're TRYING to make money. They're TRYING to get ratings. That's another thing you can't come to terms with. As much as you LOVE TNA, you HOPE they fail and don't make money, because if they succeed, they'll become mainstream and they'll just be copying the WWE and WCW.
What was the first promotion you ever saw that got you into wrestling? WCW? WWF? NWA? AWA? If you say otherwise you're bullshitting. I guarantee that the first one that got you into wrestling wasn't ECW, either.
And, oh yeah, you have audacity to question me as a wrestling fan when you watch wrestling shows (See: CZW) that involve <s>matches</s> clusterfucks that have nothing to do with wrestling. Yeah, I watch the WWE for the wrestling and some entertainment. You watch CZW when you want to get a boner from someone being sliced open with glass or jumping off the turnbuckle doing a 680 splash (See: Spot whores).
Woah, went on a bit of a rant there...

I actually loved the WWF. Especially during the attitude era and whn I first started watching in 1991. It only seems that in the last few years the WWE has become so shit, boring and repetitive with little to no matches that involve talentless "wrestlers" where image is more important than wrestling ability.
TNA reminds me somewhat of the good old days, when I used to put on WWF and couldn't wait to be at the edge of my seat watching the amazing fast paced action in the ring so full of passion and excitement.
I wish people gave TNA more of a chance.

TNA is NOT serious competition to WWE right now. They could be in the future, but if TNA went head to head with WWE next Monday, TNA would be dominated. The Raw main event could be Snitsky versus Rosey, and the iMPACT main event could be "Six Sides of Ultimate X wrapped in Barb Wire" and Raw would still win.
As for wrestling quality, I'm gonna go with WWE on this one. They are more consistant with their match quality, and there matches generally have more ring psychology and basic wrestling to get the wrestlers over, as opposed to gimmick matches. Over the course of the last six months, TNA has employed more gimmick matches to sell their wrestlers than WWE.
Now don't get me wrong, I enjoy TNA, but it is not yet at the level of WWE. I am a fan of just about every type of wrestling, from Japanese Strong Style battles to(I will openly admit) the occasional garbage wrestling match, as long as the violence serves a purpose for the story.
Now as far as CZW goes. I have never watched a CZW event. So I will refain from commenting directly about the CZW product. But from my experience, garbage style wrestling is generally pointless. I have only enjoyed two "extreme" matches, and they were the Barb Wire matches in ECW(Raven/Sandman, and Sabu/Funk). I just prefer a more technical/strong style of wrestling.

You may not have noticed, but I don't even watch Raw anymore.
I watched homecoming, and like a week after. Then I watched Monday night's because of Eddie, and PART of the previous Raw because a friend taped it. 3.5 episodes since they returned to USA, and someone had to DIE to get those numbers so high.
I don't like Raw, I barely watch Smackdown. What makes you think (Other than SEVERE retardation) that saying TNA is shite in any way means I think Cena is better, good, great, amazing, or any of the other words you pull out of your ass when you get all hot because someone's against your precious product??

Well, instead of going off on one of your little crybaby hissyfits, you could try not assuming your convenient little conspiracy stories.
You could try not being an ignorant fuck, and look around. I'm heavily critical of the WWE as well.
Or, you could simply not be a judgmental retard. But that last one's gonna be hard for you, because that would require not jumping on everyone who questions TNA as some sort of "moron" who wants "every promotion to be like the WWE."
