Watching WrestleMania 2 (not quite through with it) borought up a few general questions about Vince...

1. When did Vince get power in the storylines originally? Did he always oversee things (like working above the president, etc), or did this only come into play around the Screwjob?

2. When Vince would commentate (and I know he did for many years) who would run the shows in the back? Did Vince have access to the back from the announcer's booth (like through microphones) to change some things on the fly, or was everything taken care of by someone else?

1) I don't think it was acknowledged that Vince ran the company until after the screwjob. Sometimes, color men would take subtle digs during commentary, but they never out-and-out said that he was in charge.

2) No clue.

I believe Gorilla ran things backstage when Vince annouced. Hence the name Gorilla position.

I was assuming Gorilla, but what about when he was out there with Vince? Or was he never commentating with Vince?

1. Vince has been in control since he bought the company from his father

2. Gorilla Monsoon, or other proto-agents.

I thought his father gave it to him in his will, would he really charge his son? Just pass it on.

He bought it, and the deal was that if Vinnie Mac Jr. missed even one of the quarterly payments, the company would go back to Vince Sr's original partners, one of which was Gorilla Monsoon himself, ironically.

Vince, as owner, had top say over storylines since the day he bought the company, although other people were in charge of generating the majority of ideas.
