MMAWeekly is reporting that Tito Ortiz did indeed sign a three-fight deal with UFC, confirming the rumors that had been running rampant all day.
Ken Shamrock also signed a deal, making Ortiz and Shamrock the coaches for next season's "The Ultimate Fighter." The two will also fight a PPV rematch at the conclusion that Ultimate Fighter competition.
In between that, Ortiz will have a fight against Forrest Griffen, the original Ultimate Fighter. That fight is tentatively scheduled for this spring.
Assuming he defeats those two, he is promised a shot at the UFC Light Heavyweight Title.

Ortiz v. Griffen?
Nothing against Griffen but if Ortiz is 1/2 of what he was, he should destroy Griffen.

Exactly, I fucking hate this psuedo war people are trying to create between UFC and WWE.

Is sting going to come down from the rafters and destroy both fighters with a baseball bat? Didn't think so, this is not the UFC forum.

"Wrestling" is part of the UFC Fighters arsenal, is it not? It may not be professional wrestling, but it is wrestling. Shamrock should be a great coach on the next Ultimate Fighter. I hope the fights are better than the last show.

Ortiz v. Griffen?
Nothing against Griffen but if Ortiz is 1/2 of what he was, he should destroy Griffen. It could be good. Forrest has been improving, but he would need to control his open stance, thats just too inviting for a guy like Tito

Shut up, all you guys. I'll move this shits, leave a redirect and then you can make sure not to post UFC stuff in here anymore.
Now dry your eyes, ladies.

Shouldn't this have gone to the sports forum??

Fuck it, I don't care. People were crying about it in the wrestling forum. And it does pertain to that Next Ultimate Fighter show, which had threads in here.

First off...Forrest Griffen is fucked. Proper fucked. I honestly don't know why this match was signed...other then that nice bit of history about Ortiz storming off when Dana said Griffen was as big of a draw after TUF 1 as Tito was (total bullshit).
I am fucking looking forward to seeing Ortiz/Shamrock 2. The first one at (correct me if I'm wrong) UFC 40 was good, and it's always nice to see a fight were the boys have real life history. According to some websites, a few months back Ken and Tito were at the same resturant and some tables got pushed aside and Ortiz said they could handle everything right then and there...don't know how much of that is truth, honestly I am nto sure I am buying it, but without question the two don't have much love for each other. Plus to see Tito fuck with the youngins in TUF 3 should be classic. I am fucking excited as hell!

why does all the UFC stuff get put in TV forum? Oh well, no matter. This is a good opportunity for Griffin, not that I think he will win, but it gives him a chance to prove him self with the big boys. A win here will put him way in the ranks, and the eyes of his doubters. Not that he stands much of a chance of winning, but a good opportunity for himself nonetheless.
Wow, a whole 3 fight deal.
Well being that Shamrock is 40+ and lost his last 2 fights, including one to a guy who is now the middleweight champ (Rich Franklin), I'm shocked they offered him a 3 fight deal. I guess it's because he is a marquee name.
And a 3 fight deal is massive in MMA. Plus they are both going to get massive exposure training the British guys for Ultimate Fighter 3.

It makes perfect sense to have Shamrock as a coach for UFC3. Maybe the best known UFC name out there. Tito is a guy that you love to hate and I look forward to seeing him from another perspective other than that of a fighter. Throw in of course their history for those that followed UFC before the UFC's reality programming.
Yeah, I'm pumped.

Did they announce what weight classes they are doing?
What the hell is this doing in a TV/Movies forum? It's either sport or wrestling. Make up your minds.

People bitched in wrestling. I moved it to here because the last place I remember seeing "UFC" was in here. If that's a problem, move it your goddamn self.
