There's been a shitload of delays, and even legal issues, but it looks like it'll be out this next year.

Just watched the trailer, looks pretty good, and seems to stick with the whole Anubis and his Drones storyline from the later seasons of SG-1.

I havent seen past season 7 in the program, but the 'Ancient Enemy' thing, is it something created up by the game, or an enemy which arrives in SG-1 after the Goa'uld are defeated?

Release dates from the SG-1 store.

Anyway, The bad guys are a "new" evil. Apparently they're big and bad, and the Ancients "Bottled them up." Anubis, wanting a way to gain a clear advantage again, uncorks them.

I've read very little of substance on them though, so I don't know what makes them such a big bad.

It's being released around the same time as the Season 8 box set over here, which is pretty cool.

I'm guessing this new evil Anubis has reincarnated, having a connection with the Ancients, are probably on a technological par with the the Ancients or something, but I could be wrong. They reminded me slightly of Tyrant from Resident Evil in the trailer though.

I'm hoping they're not just super soldiers at the very least.

I'm actually hoping this game will be pretty good, it seems pretty authentic to the series, with the storyline/Character Voices and stuff, which seems cool. It's interesting to me how there going to play it off, as some of the visuals and concept art has images of Anubis' craft over Jonas Quinn's home planet (Can't remember the united name for the planet, but it had the 3 seperate nations before the whole Anubis incident, The Andari's, The Coronan's something like that) and Jonas Quinn as a character in the game, that it could span over a couple of seasons or the series.

lol yeah totally, the super soliders are pretty bad ass anyways, they might be similar to the Wraith from Atlantis or something, but then again they can't be too bad ass because Anubis will probably control them.

It's supposed to be based in season 7 from what I've read.

The Super Soldiers were cool, but the whole "We can beat them four episodes later" bit was lame.

I hope they're more interesting than the Wraith, they're just boring. They're the WORST thing going for SGA.

I don't know how much persuasion they need for Anubis to control them though. Simply uncorking me after I'd been bottled up by some holier than thou fuckers would make me at least a little grateful, and since Anubis' plan is "RAAAR DESTROY!" And little more (Remember, he wanted to remake the Universe in his own image), it's not like he needs to be very persusive...
