View Full Version : So, the IC title is dead?

Just a quick look back, but I think the IC title died while Shelton had it. Sure, he is a great wrestler, but no one really cared. Then Carilto won it, and never defended it until he lost it to Flair. And now Flair is fueding with HHH, therefore the belt is constructively retired. So...I don't really know where I'm going other than it really should be around someone waist, like maybe Masters. That way it would have one more match at a ppv that fans could give a shit about.

BTW, I just named Masters because he was the first one that popped in my head, I suppose Trevor Murrdock or some other heel would be good. I just like heel champs, get over it.

Master/Murdoch would be good choices and probably will happen. Since Falir is face he will probably drop it to heel and the've got more push than the rest of the midcard.

I would have said Carlito, but he is a little above the title right this second, he should pick it up again like in 6 months when he is starting to die down, and then use the ic title to get the world championship. I could see him being a double champion.

They gotta have at least three titles that aren't doing anything at any given moment, ya know, and since the CW title recently changed hands, that just mean the IC title had to take its place next to the tag titles and the women's championship.

If only the second Flair/HHH match was for the IC title too, the belt would have immediatley gained monstrous credability (until HHH lost it to someone and it is forgotten again).

I really don't get the logic of the first match being a title match but the second not.

Flair having the title should liven things up in the IC title scene, but right now he's selling injury, so maybe when this HHH/Flair feud ends.

They should've put the title on Conway when he fought Flair and HHH came out at the end for the brawl.
