Just watched Impact for the first time (spoilers)

Tonight was a first for me… Tonight was the first time I watched an entire episode of TNA Impact… and I have a few things to say about it…

Last thing first. The ending… Samoa Joe beat the hell out of AJ Styles. As someone who doesn’t follow TNA I was left wondering “why?” This is why WWE has a lot of talk and a lot of flash backs. I’m sure if Vince’s writing team booked this we’d get some explanation. That was a real let down, especially after the ass kicking at the end.
Raven VS The Diamonds in the Rough… I miss hardcore wrestling. It was more than a chair shot, and less than backyard wrestling. That’s the kind of stuff I dig from time to time, but right before the match a question came to mind…
Why didn’t Raven get the mic more often when he worked for Vince? He’s not gold on the mic, but anyone is compared to Lesnar. [/dated material]

When the hell did Mankind and Kevin Nash have a love child? I see this 6’8” “monster” and I’m sorry but I can’t help but compare his size to The Big Show and the monster appeal to Kane. He seems like he can haul ass, and that black hole slam (with all due respect) must have had The Big Bossman spinning in his grave! Freaking impressive! I have never seen that move done like that!

So now let’s go back to the start. The Canadian Destroyer… I don’t understand it, but damned if it’s not cool. I’ve marked out for The People’s Elbow before so I can’t complain about cheering for something a little… Useless is the wrong word…. Unrealistic.

All in all it’s better than I thought it would be. Better than WCW, not as good as ECW, but I don’t think an hour is long enough. I think TNA could play some hardball with Spike and try to aim for a 90 min show so they can throw some better promos in there. The deal with Jeff Jarrett and Xtian was nothing short of cool… Then again seeing Xtian is always awesome. That Rhino video was pretty sweet. I like how they gave us a look into his life.

So tonight I may have been turned into a TNA fan… That is if someone can please explain that ending to me.

I was gonna make a thread about tonight's impact. Damn good IMO. It all tied together. Their really trying their hardest to compete with the big boys. The Raven vs The Diamonds match was awesome because they actually implemented storyline (in TNA, wtf?). Also, they're doing a great job at building their fueds.

Joe kicked Daniels ass after elimation match at Genesis. AJ then said That joe violated some sort of code in the x-divison. Thats why Joe said I don't speak your code.

I gave you a short explantion of what happend. I'm sure someone could give you a better long explantion.

TNA ONLY has an hour (minus commercials) to put together their show. This program included several promos which established issues well whether you saw the funeral for 3-D or Rhino win the title (Only to lose it).

Hmmm...I didn't mean to hit send that soon. Here, imagine that what I just said continued.

Now, not every spot had a decent explanation, but they managed to tell the story on at least three of the segments really well. While the Gayda bit would be confusing, the Jarrett promo spoke for itself, and Christian established his current feud while building the usual clichéd "Newcomer gets title shot."

Given more time, they might be able to better establish. Now, that's no big. They've done a good job with what they've got over the last couple of weeks.
