View Full Version : Anyone else think Raw is getting better? (spoilers)

In my opinion last night's Raw was one of the best in a long time, I think the writers are finally trying again.

That whole court thing was ROFL and written so well. Especially the Boogeyman, god I love him

Kane and Show are making the tag titles worth something again. Their entrance together shows that they are actually planning to keep them together for a long time, which is great. I just Hope Show/HHH doesn't interfere too much...

Woman's division isn't as good as it was, and probably never will be. At least they are actually wrestling instead of having swimsuit competitions every week right? They just need to get more women wrestlers.

Triple H vs Tajiri was stupid. On the plus side, no 40 min Triple H promo.

Shelton jobbed again, but this time it was the main event and it seems he might turn heel. He was also really good in the match. This guy can be a great main eventer if they give him the chance.

The cutting Edge. Another boring interview show I thought. But no, Edge is fucking awesome. I love this Rated R thing... as long as he doesn't run out of shit to say this could really go somewhere. Controversy = Ratings and that's what they're going for here.

This Smackdown vs Raw feud continuing is also interesting, and probably the closest thing to a brand unification that we're going to get for a long time.

In closing, Raw kept me interested and fully entertained, something it hasn't done in a very long time.

When I was reading the spoilers I was waiting for Bischoff to say this court room crap had gone on Three minutes to long.

I was hoping Vince would then say something like those days are over Eric before 3 Min Warning appeared doing a number on all in the ring. Would have been quite the markout moment.

And I am way off topic here.

I also forgot to mention that Chavo's back and getting a push. It's sad that what happend had to happen for him to be pushed as Chavo, but if you ignore that, it's a great thing.

its was ok, the whole Bischoff thing was too predictable, and even if he does come back and fued with the McMahons it won;t go anywhere cos of Vince's ego.

The bit where Maria came in and spouted all that shit was pretty funny tho.

Also if Shelton is turning on Shawn Michaels he'll never be a heel to me

I liked Raw, lately it has been getting better.Glad to see Chavo back, though I don't see why they had him in the same match as he had on heat, and both matches were very similar to.I agree that HHH/tajiri was stupid, Tajiri must have done something wrong backstage I guess?

I like Kane&Big Show, though it's hard to see who's going to stop them as the tag teams around aren't established enough to do so.Maybe the WWE have some new tag team in mind?I just hope they don't split up like last time. This isn't the first time they've teamed up.

The court room segment was well written, ofcourse Bischoff was going to get fired, but i found it funny. It was Vince's way of 'being fair to Bischoff', also :D@the part when maria was speaking intelligently.

I hope we see a Shelton heel turn, this losing streak of his is interesting now they've moved him up to the main event, though it would've been better if he grabbed HBK's hand when he wanted to shake Sheltons hand and done the t-bone suplex finisher on him. That would've been great TV considering it was his home town.

Oh yeah and the cutting Edge is a great idea, Micheal Hayes's speech was great.

Overall I would give this Raw 8/10

I have always thought Shelton and HBK would have great matches together.

Yes, something so wrong that he got put up against a main-eventer on wrestling's A-Show.

Yeah, he jobbed, but he got exposure he hasn't gotten in months.

i thought the show was solid from start to finish
the cutting edge was alright but i got pissed when edge started talking about terry gordy and i was wanting michael hayes to beat the hell out of him but i guess thats the mark of a good heel
the whole court thing was great especially foley with his moonpies & rc....the boogeyman and maria were funny as hell also
good to see chavo back in the ring
as long as they push shelton i dont give a damn if he's heel or face shelton is the future of this company
tajiri vs triple h was'nt a bad match but did anybody else hear the pop hunter got when he walked out
in closing kane and big show are most awesome tag team over the last few years and i hope they keep this going

they've managed to make it a surprise everytime he appears. not once did i so far think, "oh it's gonna be boogeyman"

History shows that if you job to HHH, your career has reached its highest point in the WWE.Yeah he got exposure on the A-show, but he didn't exactly do much did he?He was made to look like shit as usual. Why are they keeping Tajiri on Raw anyway? They should've moved him to Smackdown(velocity) when they had the chance.

I thought it was alright. The whole trial was pretty funny, but nothing could top:

Coach: I object!
Vince: SHUT UP!

I thought the Cutting Edge sucked. Just poor delivery by the two of them on just about everything and the whole worked 'shoot' thing is just getting old. Edge fans - tell me how he gets pushed?

Tajiri didn't look horrible. He got offense in; and as sad as that sounds, thats a compliment. I was glad to see H selling for the guy, it was nice of him. Its not like Tajiri needs it, he's a jobber.

also I see HHH and Stephanie taking over Raw. how ironic would that be?

I agree that RAW was reallly good last night. It had many LOL moments, such as Boogeyman showing up, Maria breaking character, Masters real name being revealed, Vince listening to music during Davari's testimony, and Foley is good. The Cutting Edge was pretty good as well.

My one complaint, even though it was the main event, was the finish to the Shelton match. The match went on for so long, then the finish sucked. Shelton was being built up well in the match, but he missed a top rope move and got rolled up by Carlito. Just seemed like a lackluster finish to me.

Hunter made Tajiri look pretty solid. He was selling a lot of Tajiri's kicks well enough to make him look good. Hunter didn't make Tajiri look like a main-eventer, but it wasn't a total burial.

I don't remember any offence Tajiri got in, probably because it was late when I was watching it.Fair play to HHH then.Just wish they would do something with Tajiri, instead of pointlessly jobbing him.Yeah he got exposure, but lets face it, who gives a shit?

But that's really all Tajiri will ever be, a jobber. He may be talented, and a lot of people(including myself) really dig the guy, but he'll always be a jobber.

Not if they moved him to Smackdown and put him in the cruiserweight division like they had the chance to.

Perhaps. But you know what would happen. He'd get a cruiserweight title reign, hold it for like 2 months, drop it, then continue jobbing.

12-06-2005, 04:31 PM
That's a bit too much of a negative view don't you think?Even so, holding the CW title for 2 months is better than jobbing to HHH if you ask me.

Yeah. It's negative, but the WWE wastes talent unlike any other(except TNA). And it depends on WHY you're jobbing to Hunter. If you're just being fed to him, then yes, I'd rather hold the CW title. Unless you're someone like Batista, who got a great rub from Trips(that sounded dirty).

I can definatly remember him hitting the spring board elbow. Not saying that means much, but he did. I cant really remember more off the top of my head, tbh.

Cutting Edge and ending were the worst parts to the show. Court trial was a lot better than I expected, and Foley munching on cookies completely unaffected by Boogeyman was the highlight among highlights. Foley.

They've made it obvious they're trying to play up "multiple possibilities."

I seriously doubt we'll have a GM next week, either. Trying to keep up he "supsense."

I felt like a complete mark when Michael Hayes was going off on Edge. Standing on my couch yelling at the TV, it was simply brilliant. I thought that Edge may have hit a spot that he shouldn't have on Hayes when he talked about Gordy.

The Cutting Edge was great. I knew Flair wouldn't be there though. Kudos to Michael Hayes, he made it seem real. I hate Edge, I truely do, but on the mic just recently, he's been second to none. Much better than that muddled ramble that Cena spouted at the end.

Mick Foley is not good, but GOD. 'Recess rules! Moonpie, want some Moonpie?' I was chuckling away at that for ages.

Good to see Chavo in the ring and winning, but to me, he seemed rusty - anyone who saw his Heat match will know what I mean as well, the Gory Bomb looked terrible. Needs to get on the mic a bit too. Maybe next week.

Trips and Steph - makes me laugh in that other thread all the Haitchaters saying its the birth of the new McMahon Helmsley Faction/Era/Factgime. Made me chuckle, and for once the writers remembered a thing or two about the past. (Still think that perhaps it was a sly dig at the IWC). The forthcoming Haitch vs Show feud is building nicely (expect him to cost Kane and Show the match at Armegeddon) as well.

The only thing really poor was the end. Was awaiting the swerve, didn't happen. Hope Cena loses the title at NYR, to anyone. He is pretty terrible at the mo, especially when he's getting boos, and especially no crowd reaction when he expects it).

Raw is slowly improving. Slowwwwwwly though.

Got to disagree there. I thought that it seemed that they were both just reading off a card off screen. The stuff he said and the way he said it just made me think ":-\ he's going to be World champ isn't he?" Like I said the whole shoot promo is just a little old now.
