but if you're wwe and you plainly see that cena's gimmick has run its course, how do you resolve it?

after taking the belt off of him, a simple heel turn citing the fact he "cared about the fans and they turned his back on him" would be a simple, yet effective solution i think.

I say keep doing exactly ehat they're doing. The fans are turning on him while the WWE is pushing him to be the number 1 face. The fans started cheering Austin when the WWE was trying to push him as one of the top heels.

Keep Cena the same. It'll be a lot better because he'll be a huger heel eveentually.

I would have Shane Mcmahon remove dalvari as Angle's ref which takes away the heel heat from Angle sort of, then at some point have Cena say he's sick of the crowd chanting 'Cena sucks', and they don't know what they want.He's the champ around here and that's something they will never be.Then he can do some rap that really insults the crowd.Angle can then come out and claim the fans are right, Cena does suck etc.And there you have it, an Angle/Cena feud but this time Angle is the face and Cena is the heel.Cena would hold the title until wrestlemania as a heel under my booking.

I do like the idea of having him continue as he is doing, but without the approval of Joey Styles and Jerry Lawler. Have Styles say Cena would have been eaten alive in ECW, and have Lawler say that Cena is ridiculous, and play up the fact that Lawler spent so much of his career chasing the World Championship, and this kid gets it and didn't even need to go beyond the limits of cheating.

Eventually have Cena wake up to the fact he's being trashed on commentary, and go down abd bully Lawler and Styles, before kicking their asses.

It would be interesting to see Cena play the same babyface character, but the commentators get sick of it, which makes Cena snaps telling them and showing them that he doesn't give a damn what they think.

The RAW General Manager then orders John Cena to do commentary for the rest of the night, where John Cena can show us his own character, saying what he wants to say, shitting over the legends, calling the divas hos, swearing, whatever. Just have him be what he wants to be and let the fans react to it.

Then when he finally does lose the WWE Championship, have him go down the card a bit and start scraping up some WWE Intercontinental Championship reigns, just for a while.

The main thing I really don't like about Cena is that he always plays the under dog. Almost never a balanced match. If he were a bit more offensive, it would be a nice change up.
