I mean, I understand them wanting to get their money's worth for building the thing, and what not. But it seems that they have a hiac like every 2 or 3 months now. At which point, it kind of loses its drawing power.

It was the main event of Vengeance this year and last year.

On a side note, is the elimation chamber always at NYR?

The first EC was Survivor Series, the 2nd at Summerslam, and the last one was at NYR. So this would be the 2nd year in a row that EC would be at NYR.
But on the original topic, the HIAC seems to lose it a little since WWE has been having it twice each year lately.

I haven't seen all of the recent HIAC matches, saw the Vengeance one with triple h and batista, thought it sucked.
Is it just me, or is the HIAC only interesting when Undertaker or Mankind are one of the participants? It's hard to see the point in a cell at all if the people wrestling aren't going to go all out and use it to the extent. I think that's what turns people off when they order a ppv that has a HIAC match that would've went down the same without the cell there.

Wait, there were three Elimination Chambers.
HBK won the first, HHH the second... Who won the third and who was in it?

HHH its purpose was to continue the HHH batista feud.
HBK won the first, the Undertaker won the second (over Mankind). Third, I believe, was Taker beating Bossman. There was a Kane Vs. Mankind HIAC on Raw (after KOTR 98 at some point) that ended with a screwy outcome when Austin came from under the ring and attacked Kane...
For a while now, they've saved it for once a year. (HHH Vs. Jericho in 2002, HHH Vs. Nash in 2003, HHH Vs. Shawn Michaels in 2004, HHH Vs. Batista in 2005...noticing a pattern?) But I guess they wanted to end Orton/Taker with something big, so they dusted off the Cell.

dont forget lesnar vs taker in 2002 as well.
didnt they have a tag team hell in a cell at one point as well with taker/kane/austin/mankind?
they had the kane/mankind match with taker on the outside for austin but then austin was hiding under the ring and attacked kane. Taker went mad, tried to get in, couldn't cos he forgot his bolt clippers to open the door, climbed on the roof and mcmahon raised the hell in a cell with taker on the top.
Taker/Bossman was god awful....though E&C abseiling down from the roof was cool.
and then dont forget the 6 man HIAC in 2000 at Armageddon when Rikishi got thrown off the cage by Taker.......hmm has there ever been a HIAC or Elimination Chamer without either HHH or Taker in it??

Kennel from Hell with Bossman and Al Snow was technically a HIAC match, but it was actually 2 cages.

HBK was special ref.
HHH won (duh) beating batista, orton, jericho, edge and im pretty sure the other guy was benoit as both benoit and jericho had their submission holds on HHH when batista was unleashed....pretty much cemented batista's face turn as well when HHH woulnd't break up orton's pin on batista.

all this talk about gimmick matches has made me really miss the TLC matches.......though for them you need actual tag teams - could be a legitimate way to have Big Show and Kane lose their titles.......

They've had two HIACs on RAW? Wow.
And LOL at the Summerslam EC match. Goldberg AND Nash in the same match.

I agree. However, SD! at the moment is building to a potential TLC match in the future at the moment.
I can see it now...
TLC Match
MNM Vs. The Mexicools (Crazy & Psychosis) Vs. London/Kendrick
How Awsome would that be??
But, back on the topic of HIAC, I think that the WWE is doing them in a fair manner, a couple a year. But they are always involved in "Big time" fueds, so I think it's fine.
