O'brien quits...

5bucks Danny takes over and by seasons end he's the first GM/Coach/Player.

Top 2 teams in the division, 1 coach fired, 1 coach quits.

I was never really a big fan of O'Brien. I hated the three point offence and I hope this means that its gone.

But Ainge has really dropped the ball this year.

Thing is, O'brien had to use (and won with) a 3pt offence.

Walker wouldn't post up, and they had no center.

They had good 3% shooters and won that way.

Oh well, I'm really unimpressed with Ainge... but we'll see...

Ainge as a GM is just like Ainge as a player (Everybody hates him unless he's on your team)...except even Boston fans hate him.

Nahh, never hated him as a player.

He was a good player.

He was one of the dirtiest in the game (Heck, most Celtics fans will agree he deserved to get bit) and he's the only player I've ever seen pull up and take a 3 on a 1 on none fast break. (and it wasn't a close game and he wasn't going for some scoring record).

That being said, I was ok with some of his moves, giving him the benefit of the doubt... in all honesty, O'brien doesn't suprise me. I figured he was gone when Ainge first got here.

O'brian has coached a 3pt and defensive style, mostly because that's the players he has.

Aingle is looking for a run the ball offense... like show-time or the 80's Celtics. Pitino tried that here, didn't work... don't have the players...

I find it funny in the walker deal he got a white gaurd that wears ainges old #...

Pitino part 2

AWEEEEEEESOME

I bet in a few seasons Ainge is going to let us all know that Larry Bird isn't walking through that door? Really? No way

Pretty fun how Pitino tried to blame his failures on the fans of the Boston Celtics, actaully the failure was you tried to get a bunch of old Kentucky guys and you drafted Ron Mercer with the #6 pick in the draft.

But blame the fans though...good shit

I'm sure Ainge will be doing the samething in a few seasons.

Well, he was right about something.

Petino is a great college coach, speaker/motivator/recruiter.

His problem in the NBA was he was set on "his system" rather then (see: Bill Belicheck) changing your system to fit your team, he tried to make his team fit his system.

Yeah, I would put him along with Steve SPurrier.

Prime time college coach, but didn't do so hot in the pros.

The nets are talking to O'brien.

Good for him, hope he gets the job.
