No, this isn't a Juvi thread...

Tonight watching SmackDown! I noticed a few guys were "bulking down". I first noticed during JBL/Hardy that JBL was getting a bit more flabby than he had been. Then the real shocker came when I noticed Batista. He looked REALLY flabby compared to a few months ago.

Also, I've noticed Hunter has been getting a bit more of a gut and a bit less tone in the upper body in recent weeks.

Is the WWE's crackdown on steroids actually starting to show itself or is it just me?

Don't forget though about Batista that he is injured and it's tough to work out with the injury he has.

Oh, yeah, I didn't take that into consideration. But still, some guys are really starting to look a bit, well, "different".

Lita: Adam... I'm pregnant.
Edge: WHAT?! Weren't you on the pill?!
Lita: But the new drug policy said we could get tested ANYTIME! Even now!
Edge: Oh God, why....

I noticed it about Batista. Also, Nitro seemed less cut than normal.

Eddie died. In his memory, there will be six months of lip service to drugs.

After that, it'll be business as usual.

I didn't know withdrawal from steroid use had such affects. Wouldn't the muscle stay the same as long as the wrestlers kept exercising, or am I just stupid?

It would stay equal to the work they were putting into it. If they were putting enough work in to maintain a steroid body without steroids, then it wouldn't be necessary to take steroids.

No?

Maybe I'm naive but I thought steroids were taken to build muscles, not maintain them. This is why I thought that it was strange that so many wrestlers were losing muscle mass and increasing in fat as a result of steroid reduction.

I suppose these guys don't find the time to go to the gym as much either due to their heavy travel schedule. It's no wonder that they're getting flabbier. Isn't this one of the reasons why Brock left also?

Steroids are taken to increase muscle size, but why do you think they keep taking them?

Steroids are taken in cycles. After a cycle, you have to take a PCT (post cycle therapy) of some sort to maintain the gains you made. Else, it just goes to fat.

Hasn't HHH been a fat bastard for years now?

That's why I said MORE of a gut.

He's only really developed as such over the last year and a half or so.
