What a guy. He gave his towel to a little old lady at ringside. He got a pretty good reaction in his match, too. I hope they do something with Venis this year. Maybe align him with The Heart Throbs and let them cut a few promos here and there?

Val Venis and Hardcore Holly are two guys who have IT.....but for some reason, will not get the chance to make anything more of themselves in the company. Its probably being veiwed that their time has passed and now their only role is to get the new guys over.
I know that the views on Holly are low in this forum, but you have to admit that he does have IT. At least enough to keep his job, anyhow.
Does anyone think TNA would put any stock in either of them if they ever switched over?

I don't know, I think Venis is kind of overstaying his welcome. His gimmick is a faded version of its former self, and he's not being given much of anything to do. I showed my g/f a prior WrestleMania that Venis was in, and his old gimmick, complete with long hair and "Hello Ladies" promo. She commented on how sad it was that he was fighting on Heat and not doing much of anything anymore.
I agreed.

So she was fine with the porn gimmick? I think they should let Venis come out, compare The Big Valbowski to a Rubick's Cube (or another similiar anology), and then have him beat Rob Conway or something. Preferbly at New Year's Revolution. Maybe you could have The Heart Throbs follow him around with a camera trying to catch him in the act, and learn from his skills?

The only thing Bobcore has is my burning hatred.

Val Venis is the shit. Given a decent gimmick this guy can do anything you ask of him. The chief Morley angle showed that he has the talent and the charisma to work in any capacity.
As usual, I like Alenoid's idea of Venis acting as a reluctant guru to the naive Heart-throbs. It's perfect. They worked an angle like that a few years ago on Heat where Stevie Richards was the student... it was very entertaining.

Holly has "it." IT is tenure. IT is the reason he can get away with trying to injure stars. IT is why he's still got a job, even though they've got to edit tapes to make it look like the fans like him.
Incredible Teeth, that's about it

lol a thread about Venis - yet one mention of Bob Holly being good and the thread is upside down. TPWW at it's best.
P.S Val Venis is the man.
Holly sucks :shifty:

His team with Viscera isn't too bad. IF they actually had other teams to wrestle maybe they'd get somewhere

LOL, I just dug this thread up, because it seems the WWE still can't get their Venis shit straight.
The more and more I think about it, the more and more I would love to see Venis and The Heart Throbs as a unit.
Bring in Johnny Jeter, Chris Cage & Mike Mizanin to feud with them, Venis facing off against Jeter, The Heart Throbs against Cage & Miz. It could really be an entertaining angle. Can you image Romeo & Antonio suspicious of Venis because his initials are the same, much like JJ, CC & MM? Jeter's pretty talented too, so having a feud over the IC Title could restore some credibility to it.
I think Flair should give Gregory Helms a shot at the title in coming weeks, Helms should cheat his ass off to win, then Venis beats Helms for the title and feuds with Jeter. It's not too much, it adds more to the resumes of Helms and Venis, plus it gets The Big Valbowski on RAW.
Although, Venis as General Manager of RAW, slyly booking himself into title winning scenarios would be great as well. It's a shame the WWE doesn't use the guy.

The ONLY time I ever found Holly entertaining was during his Superheavyweight gimmick with the late Crash Holly. They'd always lose and then fight with each other.
Watch always disappoints me with Val is that he at one time had a very promissing looking career, and even had two noteworthy reigns as the WWE Intercontinental Champion (the feud with Ken Shamrock and Billy Gunn, then another title reign fueding with Rikishi then Chyna & Eddie). It really annoys me that this guy who was a one time a very big star in the company is now been wrestling on only Heat for the last 2 years.

He needs to get that long hair back.
He also could use an actual feud. If your gonna pay a guy a couple hundred thousand a year for eight years, you might want to think about doing something with him.
