I was searching through TNA matches and I saw some match that had barbed wire, ladders, tables, trash cans etc. and it was a big tag match with sandman, new jack, brian lee, perry saturn, mike awesome, justin credible and more.

I'm just wondering why I never heard of this. does anyone know when this was? TNA had the standard square ring when it happened. I'm just surprised I never heard of TNA back then.
I thought it would be all over websites that TNA is the new ECW when they signed all these guys but I never heard anything like it. I never heard anything about TNA.

I was shocked to see all those big ECW names in an early TNA match.

What does a defunct tag team that trish stratus once managed years ago have to do with ECW?

You might be talking about the "Ultimate Sin Match" with Team Extreme (Saturn, Sandman, & New Jack) vs. The New Church (Awesome, Lee & Slash). Justin Credible interfered with the match allowing Team Extreme to win. That match took place on April 23, 2003 at NWA-TNA-PPV #41.

It was a short lived angle with a lot of ECW guys in TNA. Basically Team Extreme (all former ECW guys) where there to build up for what was going to become TNA's Hardcore Division, the horrible "Hard-10". About half way through the tournament to crown the Hard Ten Champion, they realised that everybody thought that it was shit...matches wern't won by pin fall or submission, but instead whoever got to 10 points the quickest, points being earned by using weapons, tables, etc....anyway after Sandman won the tournament (defeating New Jack in the finals) he wasn't awarded a title, but rather a Championship Trophy Cup...and as time went on they used the ECW guys less and less...(Raven was not involved with either "Team Extreme" or the Hard-Ten)
