Two years ago we were treated to Hardcore Holly vs Brock Lesnar, and this year its Kurt Angle vs Mark Henry. I can just think of the ratings......er.....amount of bathroom breaks being taken

I have never missed out on a Rumble ever since I started watching wrestling but I may just not order this one.

Don't give a crap about Angle/Henry, Edge/Cena, JBL/Boogeyman...

And the Rumble Match itself is looking pretty horrible.

Triple H vs Scott Steiner was one of the worst for ages.

I never order the Rumble for the undercard, however great or awful it is. I always order it, though, because I love the Rumble itself.

I agree, the RR is all about the Rumble match, the other matches are just fillers IMO.

Two years ago we were treated to Hardcore Holly vs Brock Lesnar.

Oh yeah.

The rumble is the main reason to watch this PPV though. Dont let the shitty undercard put you off.

I am not sure whether to get it this year but like Loopy, I don't get it for the undercard but for the Rumble itself although having no suprise entries makes it suckier. I miss when there were always a few suprise entries.

Well, last month we were treated to Mark Henry/Batista. I don't think it's an issue of the Royal Rumble only in this case.

I suspect WM will be Masters/Henry for the HWT unification/World's Shittiest Hoss.

It's not a Rumble unless Scotty is eliminated while trying to pull out his "Worm."

Come to think of it, hasn't it been like 7 years since the last time the WWE/World title actually changed hands at the Royal Rumble (Rock vs. Mankind, I Quit Match at RR '99)?

God Damn, has it been that long?

*Salutes Scotty*

I'm a scotty mark :shifty: ... what?

Is it just me or, did last years rumble seem shorter than 04's?

It's another Triple H power trip thing. He got shown up by Benoit/Angle with his horribly pathetic Steiner-World Title defense, so now, every year, he books a stinker.

That way, after the show, when the other guys are like "Wow, that was a horrible title match," he can say "Yeah, it happens every year, must be a Royal Rumble curse or something." Shifty bastard.

And to add to that, I'm pretty certain that on Smackdown, while he was making his entrance the announcers mentioned that Orton was going to be in as well...plus Masters and Carlito hinted at their participation, neither of those 3 are official though I suppose.

Out of boredom, here's my predicted list of other participants:

Raw - Carlito, Masters, Show, Flair, HBK, Lawler (token old timer entry), and because I can't help but dip into the qualifier-losers, Tomko and Snitsky

Smackdown - Orton, Nitro, Mercury, Finlay, Hardy, Benoit, Rey, Regal, Daivairi, Nunzio, Simon Dean, JBL, and Boogeyman (I think they'll be put in to beef up the match, despite going one-on-one earlier)

Actually, we never got up to Henry vs. Batista. That's what the Rumble was gonna be for. I guess we were sort of upgraded.
