View Full Version : Thoughts on the Boogeyman/ Lashley

I must admit that I was wrong about the Boogeyman. I thought he was a terrible gimmick and would fail miserably but with smackdown being so bad lately, he might be arguably the best thing they've got right now. That is until they have him lose to the Undertaker in a casket match or something like that (ie: Papa Shango, Kamala). I feel differently about Lashley. I appreciate and respect the fact that he was a marine, but to me he's just a poor man's Ahmed Johnson. What do ya'll think?

KK, I've missed you like a fly misses shit man. How are you. I actually wanted to see what people thought of the two of them since the WWE's been hyping them with vignettes and praise lately.

It's just the X/Y bit.

I like Lashley, but he needs some charisma. He's got quite a bit of talent, whether or not he's a marine. However, he's bland and generic hoss material otherwise. I think he's got a great deal of potential. Slap a manager on him, and let him rip.

I still hate the Boogeyman gimmick. It's going to get old really fast, and the guy playing the character is going to be released and be wishing he still had his two front teeth.

Lashley was managed in OVW by Kenny Bolin, and that was a really good fit for him. Bolin was the big, fat obnoxious loudmouth who'd get himself into trouble, then here comes this fucking beast to beat up whatever babyface walked into the trap.

I wouldn't mind seeing him as a heel "problem solver" type character for someone like Kid Kash.

I'm liking Lashley, but want longer matches fom him. I know he's huge, and super strong, but right now he's inexperienced, so he could have some longer matches with mid-carders.

And Boogeyman is awesome. He's so ridiculous I love him. It's weird him being a face, but I think of him scaring the heels for all the crap they do.

I'm wondering how long until we'll be treated to Angle vs Lashley.

I wish they would stop saying that Lashley is undefeated when he got beat at Survivor Series.

Undefeated on Smackdown. :shifty:

I think Lashley is going to be great. One problem is every time he stands up, I think he will lose his balance and fall over. He seems so lightweighted compared to his white version (Brock) who is more dense (if that's the correct word).

I like Lashley but all of his momentum went out the window with his cheap win over JBL on SD! there.

Lashley was eliminated at SS, not defeated. His team won, thus he won. An elimination is not a loss.

Lashley is geat but he's missing something...he should get some advice on how to promote himself better as a smackdown star from like that kennedy guy or maybe even Teddy Long himself.

As for the Boogeyman, he's awesome...love the clock thing where he bashes it across his forehead and then you hear the pyro that sounds like a nuclear bomb, and the stick with the "smelly" red smoky crap flying out of it. I feel like if they build him up very slowly, and properly he'd make a great tag champ with the right person.
