I understood putting Hogan against HBK at mania, since Hogan really couldn't work any better than Mcmahon anyway, but Michaels is actually a good wrestler, and could have good matches with numerous people, and help develop new stars. It seems like a waste to match him with Vince.

I agree.
But I found the solution.
Vince wants to go on his little sex/drugs/rock and roll bender.
Let him do it. Everything goes to hell. His life falls apart. Until someone saves him. Someone makes him see the light of day. This man becomes Vince's protege. Vince, pissed that Shawn wasn't a good christian and try to help Vince, decides to send his protege after HBK.
Vince's protege of course will be played by CM PUNK.
That could work, ya think?

Possibly, but that would require that he not change his gindy gimmick... he's in the WWE, remember.

FINE!!!
While going on his bender, Vince hits a deaf kid with his car. To avoid a lawsuit, Vince gives him a contract for a month. He tells the poor gullible deaf kid that if he can beat Shawn Micheals, he'll give him a real contract. Of course, if Shawn loses, he's "fired." Now Shawn has to decide if his job is worth destroying the dreams of some poor handicap kid.
Better?

So Shawn is going to face CM Punk?

We won't because he's Christian. I heard that he didn't want to stay heel after his Hogan feud because of his beliefs or something like that.

Really Xero? I heard it was because Hogan was being an ass and refused to job.
That's what I read, and I think it was on PWInsider... (Not positive, though.)

This is going to sound crazy, but I wouldn't be surprised if Vince went behind all our backs and managed to talk The Rock into a Mania match with HBK.
Think about Vince's choice of words on Monday night. He didn't just guarantee that HBK's luck would run out. He guarandamnteed it. Granted, Vince has used that phrase before, but it's more widely associated with Rocky.
Seriously, how much money would Vince make off of Shawn Michaels vs. The Rock at WrestleMania?

I associate "Guarendamntee" with Vince more than Rock, although that's a much bigger money maker than HBK/Vince.

The only way that this angle pays off is if Bret Hart comes down and kicks both of thier asses. Since this will not happen... its just a fucking waste of Shawn Michaels' talent.

Anyone else think that segment suffered from poor editing? As in it could have been done in about 1/5 the time to the same or better effect?

Let's look at a little somethin' somethin' posted on tpww.net a while ago, shall we?
Bret Hart won't Return for a final match.
In Bret Hart's weekly Calagry Sun column this week (which you can read at http://www.canoe.ca/SlamWrestling/hitman_home.html) he made some very interesting comments regarding a final match or possible return to wrestling.
Bret basically said that it was not his battle back from a stroke that would keep him out of the ring for a final match, but the kick he recieved from Bill Goldberg?
Bret said he didn't dwell on these things anymore but made it rather clear that it was because of Goldberg that he would never enter the ring again.
Now please shut the fuck up about Bret Hart making a return to the ring. It's only going to happen in your wet dreams.

It would be a pleasant surprise to have Rock do a mania match, but why?
A.) He's obviously more into being a movie actor than in the ring although I have heard that he says he wouldn't mind making a couple of surprise appearances. Whether "appearances" means just being on camera during an episode of RAW or having an actual match I don't know.
B.) I just personally think it may be kind of dumb to de-push Shawn for any other reason than to turn him heel.
However, I feel that it's very possible that the Rock could show up at the Rumble, and I could picture the scenario like this: Shelton and HBK are the final 2 in the ring, and we see numerous spots where Shelton is hanging precariously on to the ropes outside the ring, or with 1 foot touching the floor, and every time Shawn tries to eliminate him, Shelton dodges another bullet. HBK then has Shelton hanging on once again and is about to deliver the Sweet Chin Music to Shelton to eliminate him, but Shelton ducks out of the way and HBK KO's the ref instead. Out comes Rock, Shelton is back in the ring, watching in awe, wondering what's going on. Rock proceeds to hit numerous spots on HBK until suddenly shawn's body is against the ropes and Rock nails his version of the clothesline, sending HBK over the top, and crashing to the floor just as the ref is getting up. The ref somehow doesn't notice Rock, and rings the bell declaring Shelton the winner as Rock smiles from the ramp, taunting and teasing HBK, as Shawn yells indistinct words at Rock, while the Rumble is going off the air.
Any thoughts? Or other suggestions on how Rock may be involved in HBK's future (or NOT?) Feel free to make your voice heard.

With how many movies The Crock has lined up to make, no, not gonna happen.
Spy Hunter: Nowhere to Run (2007) (pre-production (http://pro.imdb.com/r/legacy-inprod-name/inproduction/)) .... Alec Sects
Instant Karma (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0383414/) (2005/I) (filming (http://pro.imdb.com/r/legacy-inprod-name/inproduction/))
Gridiron Gang (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0421206/) (2006) (post-production (http://pro.imdb.com/r/legacy-inprod-name/inproduction/)) .... Sean Porter
Southland Tales (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0405336/) (2006) (post-production (http://pro.imdb.com/r/legacy-inprod-name/inproduction/)) .... Boxer Santaros/Jericho Kane
Johnny Bravo (2006) .... Johnny Bravo
He's a busy man, and I say fuck him for selling out. Yes, he's making more cash with less risk than he would in the ring, but wrestling is what made him famous.

yeah, but with rock not being really invovled in wrestling anymore...It seems he would only come back to be involved with matches he really wants to be invovled in...its not like he is a retired wrestler like hogan for example sitting home and doing nothing where he'd easily be convinced to do so.

Highly doubtful.
From Wrestlezone.com:
"-- To update on the possibility of The Rock at Wrestlemania, The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the one person he would want to work with is Bret Hart. Due to Hart's respect for the Rock, if he was to work with someone, The Rock would be a likely candidate. However, his physical condition likely prevents him from doing a match that he would want to be remembered for.
WWE has suggested Michaels as an opponent for him, however The Rock wasn't a fan of that idea. He has made it clear that he felt Shawn Michaels was an asshole to him when he first came in, and was one to the point where he vowed he will never forget it. He also doesn't think that Michaels is the same kind of big draw that Hogan, Austin, Hart, etc. are. "

They said that Spy Hunter won't start filming until late April, and he's not filiming anything right now so that give The Rock just enough time to work a program. Rock/Michaels would be cool, but Rocky should really elevate someone else if he returns, I think Carlito could benifit...

Maybe they're going to Saturday Main Event with this angle. Vince says he wants things how they used to be, maybe the reintroduction of SNME is part of this and the first headline match could be Vince vs Michaels...or something.
