Montreal by a mile. Never really been done before and it was before the internet really kicked in so it wasn't like everyone knew Bret Hart was leaving (I didn't even know until 3 days after but I was in England and we didn't get Raw for another 5 days).

BATB wasn't really a shock that it happened. More of a little suprise on how it did.

Montreal...simply because WCW was falling so hard so fast and was so poorly managed by the time that Russo arrived...it really wasn't shooking at WCW started to shoot on itself, the only shocking part was that it happened to Hogan....WHICH I LOVED!

Bash at the Beach
The world is watching a World Heavyweight Title match, then all of the sudden the deffending champion just lays down in the middle of the ring for Hogan to pin.

I'm gonna say Bash at the Beach. While people are still trying to figure out who screwed Bret, we all knew Bret's days in the WWF were over. He wasn't going to keep the title. The last one of Vince's champions jumped to WCW a title was thrown in the trash on TV. Deep down inside I think everyone knew that Bret wasn't going to leave with the title, or leave as champion.
I don't think any of us had any idea that Jeff Jarrett was going to drop to the canvus and let himself get pinned. Just listen to the fans there, listen to the people calling the match. This is something that blind sighted everyone.

There may be only one other shocking moment that rivals the screwjob and it's not something you can "rate" in any way. It wasnt the thing at BATB.

Besides, what gets talked about and is recalled more then Montreal? It's not even close.
