In your opinion, what is the best Zelda game ever?

Just vote in the poll and then say why you like it and why you think it's the best Zelda game ever. We might even see a debate start.:D

For me, it's Link To The Past.

It had everything an RPG should have. Great music, levels, bad guys, bosses, graphics (For the time and now). It had a great story and weapons. The puzzles were really great, hard and challenging. (Maybe that's just me since I was about 7 when I played it)

The characters you came across were brilliant too. The SNES had lots of good games, and Link To The Past is among the great SNES Games, and Nintendo Games ever.

In my eyes, there will never be another Zelda game as good as Link To The Past.

OK, now you go.:D

Oh and as an extra, you can tell everyone what you think is the worst Zelda game.

For me it's Majora's Mask. It just sucked.

I voted for Ocarina of Time, but only because you didn't include the Wand Of Gamelon.

C'mon, take one look at this shot and tell me it ain't the best game of all time.

OoT. I've recently started playing it again because a friend sent it to me.

Man, I freakin love this game.

I'd say Ocarina of Time but only because I haven't play another Zelda game that came out after this one. :o

Ocarina of Time is the best of the series. It was long, it had tons of dungeons, lots of sidequests, the time travel aspect, cool weapons, hard bosses(the first time at least), challenging puzzles (the damn water temple)... It's simply the best game of all time, all systems, in my opinion.

I would put ALTTP and TWW in second and third.

The worst would be Link's Awakening, which I didn't really like. AoL and MM are not really bad, they're pretty good too. I just couldn't get into them as much as the others.

Once I finish Wind Waker and Minish Cap, I'll only have the Oracles games, MM and the two Four Swords to finish left. :o

MM for me.

Just the fact that it explored an alternite world that was an offshoot of the main Zelda world....and the fact that the OoT would allow you to reset your time so you can save it? Yeah...that's the shit right there.

Oh and the end when you beat it.....classic.

I voted Ocarina of Time...awesome game..it was close with that and a Link to the Past....

I may now actually break out Ocarina again...one of my fav all tiem games...I remember being sad after I had beat it because I had no reason to play it anymore.

Ocarina. Just in the middle of playing it now.

Don't think you should include TP though, its not even out yet.

Ocarina of Time.

It is the only Zelda game I have ever played so I couldn't compare it to any other. Anyways, I loved that game. I may pull my N64 out and play it sometime this weekend.

1) Ocarina of Time
2) A Link To The past
3) Wind Waker

I'm with Kapoutman. OoT is probably the best game ever made. There are a couple that challenge it in my mind, but I'd give the nod to OoT.

Link to the Past by far.

How different was Link's Awakening DX compared to the original Link's Awakening?

Anyway, I chose A Link To The Past. That was the shit, especially considering I wasn't even into RPGs back then and I completed it. Really though, it's a tie with Ocarina of Time, but I could only choose one.

Ocarina of Time, with A Link to the Past in a very, very close second.

I put it in the poll because I thought there would be people who hated all the other games but have seen TP clips and pictures and considered it there favourite.

Well, if you hate every Zelda game and Twilight Princess has you excited and wanting the game then that means you favour Twilight Princess over every other Zelda which makes it your favourite.

A link to the past.

I love ocarina, but you can't beat the classic overhead zelda format imo

Also, I wouldn't even put ocarina in second. For that place, I'm gonna go with the longshot, wind waker. Fucking work of art that game. There would be times where i died because I was too busy drooling at the visuals to pay attention to what i was doing.

Wind Waker looked nice but I hated the freaking boat. And since that was a lot of the game I didn't really like it too much.

The best is either Link to the Past, or Ocarina of Time.

Honourable mention goes to Majora's Mask. The game was really easy compared to the others but.... I love to play it just for the side quests and the whole three day time limit thing alone. Bombers notebook is the most awesome concept ever.

Ocarina for me. Getting stuck on the giant Octo inside Jabba Jabba's belly, got my so frustrated, until I stayed up til like 4 a.m trying to beat it, succeeding, then going on to The Temple of Time and becoming Adult Link. I was like 14 at the time, and till my last days I shall remember it with great happyness.

Though I'm hard pressed to choose a 2nd, 3rd etc as I love all the other games.

The Original, Link to the Past, Majora's Mask, Minish Cap, Wind Waker all ruled.

I think the only thing people can agree on, is that Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link SUCKED BALLS. Side Scrolling, NO THANK YOU.

Well theres alot of that stuff going around. GAME (A UK store) says Q1 2006 and I read somewhere that Nintendo said its going to be for the GC in 2006, deffinitly. Although you have to wonder what kind of changes could possibley take this long? Alot of people are starting to think its just been a marketing ploy the whole time and its been finished for months but its starting to slowly backfire cos I have read a few people saying they wont wait any longer.

Bad news, Miyamoto promised it was going to be for the GC in Nintendo Power. Said it would be near the Rev launch, but not for the Rev.

It'll be playable on the Rev though and supposedly have extras only accesible when you play it on the Rev.

from OOT back i played all the zelda games and i think that Link to the past owns all. i have some GREAT memories with that game from the day i was nine and picked it up on my freinds floor and asked "whats this?" and he said "some weird game that came with the system, zelda right?" popped it in his SNES and never had so much damn fun in my life. Nothing compares to the first time you play that game, OOT was longer and had better graphics in addition to time traveling. but the old school feel of LTTP is uncomparable to me.
