View Full Version : Shaq Attack

The Ravishing One

From WWE.COM

Last night at the AmericanAirlines Arena, RAW (http://www.wwe.com/shows/raw/) Superstar Carlito (http://www.wwe.com/superstars/raw/carlito/) verbally abused Jason Williams after the Miami Heat suffered a disappointing 107-98 loss to the Phoenix Suns. While the cocky Superstar was berating Williams, Shaquille O'Neal walked up behind Carlito and smashed him with a chair. Check back here later today for video footage of the attack.

Rick Rude was WCW champ?

He held the Big Gold Belt for a while. (I believe it was called, in fact, the "Big Gold Belt.")

Shaq should have opened up a can of Shaq-Fu. They're probably saving it for later though.

Rick Rude was WCW champ?

That title was the NWA title but it was renamed the WCW International Title. The belt was unifed with the WCW world title when Flair beat Sting at Clash of the Champions in June 94 and they kept the Big Gold Belt.

Rude had beat Flair for the Title in 93 and lost the title to Sting in 94.

Do you think Shaq will be a surprise entrant in the rumble?

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!! That's too funny. Good stuff.

If he was, then he'll come in just after Big Show clears the ring. I guarantee it.

It didn't work with Rodman, it didn't work with the other guy who teamed with DDP, and it's not gonna work here.

Just because a guy is a professional athlete, IT DOESN'T MEAN HE'LL MAKE A GOOD WRESTLER!!!

Dennis Rodman, Karl Malone, Lawrence Taylor, Mark Henry, Ted Arcidi, notice a pattern?

But, yeah, he'll definitely wind up as one of the "surprise" Rumble entrants on Sunday. That makes two non-wrestlers in the match. Good God, that's a bad idea.

Mark Henry isn't as bad as Rodman and Malone.

Mark Henry isn't as bad as Rodman and Malone.

When he first started, he was close. Ten years of training, and he's better, sure, but when they brought him in in 1996, he was aw-haw-hawful [/DR. COX]. He was slow, his conditioning was bad, and he didn't have a clue how to sell a wrestling move.

Did anyone say that? No. But, let's not forget that WWE put Drew Carey in the 2001 Rumble. They're not above "stunt casting."

Clearly, Shaq isn't going to Mania, but it's a well-known fact that Vince has a hard-on for "real" athletes, and the possibility of Shaq appearing in the ring in a PPV IN MIAMI is just too sweet for him to pass up.

If they're not going anywhere with it, why did they put it on their kayfabe website? This is clearly leading somewhere, and having a PPV at the home of Shaq's team is the logical continuation of the story.

Being pedantic works for some people on this board. But it's not for everyone. You should check with a doctor before trying Pedantic. Side effects may include numbness, dizziness, erectile dysfunction, projectile vomiting, and the urge to watch WrestleMania XI.

LMAO

"When I told Shaq it was his house... I lied."

Carlito is the future. I love him. He is great in the ring, has brilliant in-ring psychology, has a great look, great charisma, cuts fantastic promos, has the crowd all over him every night. Maybe just needs his gimmick tweaked but I love him!

I heard this rumor from a friend of a friend -

That Carlito is gonna enter the Rumble then clear the ring. All of a sudden the camera is gonna cut to the aisle way and Shaq is gonna be walking down, wearing a body suit covered in hair, with his hands raised led by Harvey Wippleman.

Shaq? Don't tell me that's who WWE were "negotiating" with who had "crossover appeal" in earlier rumors.

It'll also be interesting if Shaq does enter The Rumble. We'll see if WWE are lying about Big Show's height.

Keep in mind, no one said Shaq would be at Mania, except for the people saying "LOL @ people talking about Shaq @ Mania."

But until I saw that the Heat were in Houston today, I did think he would be at the Rumble.

Should have known that the segment would have no payoff. It's WWE we're talking about.
