Anyway, Rey could be made to look like he stands a chance against an Angle. He's certainly beaten him before, and he can stand up to a middle sized guy.

Basically, the WWE circle of vulnerability has always been built like this:

- Small guys stand no chance vs huge hosses but can beat medium sized guys.
- Hosses destroy tiny guys and can overwhelm medium sized guys, but there are also medium sized guys who can simply "outwrestle" or outperform them in terms of agility, athleticism, and stamina.
- Medium sized guys are well rounded against both extremes but can be beaten by both if not careful.

So it depends on how they'd build him up. Rey's prolly dropping the title shot to Orton anyway, if rumors are true, but if they go onto it, all they need is for him to get a new fire of inspiration and kick his performance up to a whole new level. Let him do crazy counters and occassional sensational spots, and he CAN be made to look like a threat.

After all, Spike Dudley with a giant killer because he could whip out the Acid Drop out of nowhere, right? (this is based on my understanding of his ECW tenure; I may be wrong, since I was never really "there").

People are whining that Rey isn't credible, but he has beaten Angle, HBK, Eddie, JBL, Big Show, etc.

I would seriously mark the fuck out if at Mania, Angle had Rey in the anckle lock, but Rey loosened his boot so Angle pulled it off, ala Eddie. Then when Angle bounces back, he gets hit with a Rana for the 1-2-3.

Tribute to Eddie. Next smackdown, Angle and Rey rejoice in the match, Angle laughs at how he lost, then beats the shit out of Rey, turning heel again.
