View Full Version : ok, so what's up with all this gay shit about *RR Spoilers* LOSING his shot at Mania?

????

Rey better be in the main event at WrestleMania. If he loses his shot to Orton, that would be just fucking terrible :nono:

That's the plan, sadly. But hey, maybe if we cheer the hell out of Mysterio, they'll change their minds.

Rey just won because WWE were trying to make up for the way they disrespected Eddie, and for the shock factor.

Rey V.S. Angle would be much better than Orton V.S. Angle.

What was the point of Rey winning the rumble then? Orton should have won if they plan on having Angle/Orton at Mania

I'd much, MUCH rather see Orton/Angle or Orton/HHH than anything involving Mysterio. Period.

I've said it once, and there are many that I'm sure agree with it.

Rey may be a big draw for WWE, but the main reason he won was to throw an Eddie chant out there.

Anyways, Rey is winning the big one at WrestleMania

The Royal Rumble was not the main event, therefore he doesn't get to main event Wrestlemania.

So Taker's going to go to the main event of Mania?

More than likely Taker will be the main event since his time to retire is coming up. (Yeah, I'm just talking out of my ass now)

I think things are going to change. You have to think, those plans for Mania were made pre-Rumble, and maybe something in the front offices made them change their minds last minute.

Until something happens to make it concrete, nothing is just yet. Remember, that's what was going to happen with Orton last year, then everyone got hard-ons about Batista, and the WWE decided to go with Batista instead of Orton at the last minute. Vince always goes overboard when it comes to Mania, trying to get the big match happening and the unbelievable happening. And people have seen Orton win the title before, and have really disliked it. Who knows what will happen. I'm HOPING they change their minds, because removing Rey after all of that and the crowd reaction they got would just be dissasterous for the WWE, in a LOT of ways.

The only heel turn we should be seeing from Cena, are on the bottom of his feet taking him away from our TV sets.

I doubt it. Ratings went up three consecutive weeks after Cena lost the WWE Title, but he won it right back.

The way things are and the way things are looking, IMO the best we can get at WM is Angle vs Rey (i'm not an Orton fan and Angle/Rey have had some really good matches in the past).

No matter what happens, I think we can count on the fact that Mysterio will NOT be in the main event of WrestleMania, despite tradition.

Triple H and Vince would never let a 5'7" Mexican cruiserweight wrestler main event the biggest show of the year. The WWE Title, Cena vs. HHH, will be the main event, and whatever match Rey is on (whether it's the World Title match or not) will play second fiddle.

If I had to guess, I'd say that either taker will win the World Heavyweight Title @ No Way Out in a fatal 4-way between himself, Angle, Henry, & Rey, and then at the end of NWO or on the following weeks smackdown!, we'll see Orton demand a title shot from taker at Mania 22 in Chicago, and somehow he'll get it. But like I said at the beginning of this post, for anyone who CAN'T READ, I'M ONLY GUESSING!

*BTW, I hear the AllState Arena is pretty damn small--it apparently seats 17,500 for hockey and football, and 16,000 for basketball, so I'm guessing the crowd will only be a few hundred larger than the rumble--PATHETIC!:nono: Maybe WM23 will be somewhere where they'll actually MAKE MONEY! Or maybe I'm just kidding myself.*

Well, ever since this whole "winner of the Royal Rumble gets ab world title shot at WrestleMania" deal started, who's actually won the Royal Rumble and never got to wrestle for the title at WrestleMania?

1997 - Austin wins the Rumble, but doesn't wrestle for the title at Mania.
1999 - Vince wins the Rumble, but forefits his title shot.

Maybe they won't screw Rey out of his title shot, but instead have him go through with the whole Eddie thing, and challenge Angle at No Way Out (Eddie's 2004 20-Man Royal Rumble win was for NWO, where he won his only World Championship). I know they teased Angle vs. The Undertaker, but you could have it delayed no problem.

Why not for the fuck of it have another Rumble Match at No Way Out? You can even have the exact same participants in it, save for Rey Mysterio who is facing Angle (which would make a nice spot for a mystery entrant).

You'd probably then have Mysterio win the World Heavyweight Title with help from The Undertaker, you have some guy win the Royal Rumble Redux, and you have yourself some unpredictability in the mix.

At WrestleMania you could then have:

-John Cena vs. Royal Rumble Winner for the WWE Championship
-Rey Mysterio vs. Chris Benoit in an Eddie Guerrero Tribute Match for the World Heavyweight Championship
-The Undertaker vs. Kurt Angle
-Edge vs. Mick Foley
-Shawn Michaels vs. Shane McMahon

They let a 5'7" Eddie Guerrero main event Wrestlemania.

And Rey is only 5'7" in his dreams when he is wearing lifts in his boots. In the real world, he is like 5'3"

Strictly speaking, did he not try to forefit his shot but was forced into wrestling Austin for it at Valentines Day Massacre?

I know that Austin won that match via Big Show's debut, throwing Austin through the cage. I don't remember how it came to be after Vince won the Rumble, though.

Nah after Vince won the Rumble he said he was giving up his shot so no one got it, but then HBK and Austin came on the titan tron and HBK told Vince that since he was giving up his title shot then the runner up( Austin) would get it, Vince said no thus the St. Valentines Day Massacre was set up which Austin won then went on to beat The Rock at WM15.
