Not sure if this will catch on (or if its been done before) but...I'll post a show, you tell me your favourite episode of said show!

Not sure if it'll be a daily update (hence the use of #1 rather than day 1) but we'll see how it goes!

Feel free to suggest shows!

Anywho, here we go with the first show...

It's one of my favourite shows of all time and I've recently started to collect the boxsets, it's...

THE X FILES

I was never a big X-Files fan, but I liked the one where Mulder and Scully are each telling this story about one of their files, but their versions are incredibly different. Like, Mulder's has vampires and Scully's doesn't. Luke Wilson played the sheriff or something, and he was like hideously ugly in Mulder's version with this horrible redneck accent. Really funny.

Yeah, never really got into X-Files, but one ep that stands out (and thus was probably my "favourite") is the one where the kid could control lightning, and went around ruining a bunch of cows.

Is that the one with Jack Black in it?

Yes it is!

Watched it the other day! Great episode due to some great actors! Jack Black is awesome as is Giovanni Ribisi (Phoebe's brother in friend's)

Squeeze and Tooms are two of my favorite episodes!

I'm not completly sure about the one with the differing stories as I don't remember it vividly! I believe it's from season 5 so I got two more boxsets to get before I can jog my memory!

Coincedently that episode is one of my girlfriends fav episodes!

The one with Luke Wilson in it as the deputy or sherriff or some shit. Where they chase vampires who like to leave shoes untied.

Didn't have a favorite episode, but I think I liked it more in the beginning... back when it was about the files, before it all became about the conspiracy.

^^^

Here, here!

It did get very convoluted towards the end! Well, towards the midpoint really!

I think most people prefer the Monster of the Week episodes over the 'conspiracy' storyline anyway!

I use far too many !'s !!!

I imagine you with lots of cameras zooming up really close at wacky angles while you shout your posts, and you're wearing a suit covered in dollar signs.

Didn't really watch much of the X-Files, but one episode that comes to mind was some dude who was yellow and could change into different shapes/people or whatever. The bit I clearly remember was when he was chasing Mulder undernieth a escalater and when Mulder got out he switched it on and the yellow dude got caught in it and got sliced to death. It always made me be sensible on escaleters after that.

That episode is Tooms, someone mentioned it earlier!

and I totally agree on the escalator thing, I always think of that scene whenever I'm on an escalator.

That was the same thought I had about shows like 24 and LOST that don't really have stand alone episodes. But I wanna cover them anyway and they're too important/popular to ignore so they will get done!

I was never a real big fan of the X-Files but one that stands out in my mind is the mutant from Chenobyl which lives in the sewers and pipes. Only one memory stands out and thats the sewerage worker who's attacked by the monster but seems fine except for a bad taste in his mouth... until he gets home. While brushing his teeth rigorously to rid himself of the taste, a wee little baby mutant slug squirms out his mouth.

So yeh, either that one or something to do with Mulder going back on time and working on a Russian nuclear submarine/warship of some kind. I dunno.

First three series or so were great. After that there was a lot of dross with very little good.

Favourite episode? "Jose Chung from outer space".
