Ok it's time for the second installment of 'YFE'!

Thanks to everyone who posted their choice for The X Files.

Our second show is more recent and appears to be very popular amongst TPWWers. It is now in its fifth season and was a landmark televisual concept at its inception.

Todays series is...

24

I honestly don't know if I could pick just one episode. Guess I'd go with the pilot, just because nothing like that had ever been done before on television.

What did they do on the pilot episode?

I don't watch 24 BTW.

Season 3: 6:00am - 7:00am

All because of this:

Jack helps the shaking Chappelle from the chopper. The two men walk through the yard. Jack asks Chappelle if there is anyone he wants to talk to before he dies, but Chappelle says no. Jack makes Chappelle get on his knees, and Chappelle begs to be given the chance to take his own life. Although Jack is at first hesitant he hands over his gun. Yet Chappelle is unable to pull the trigger. Jack takes the gun and fires point blank at Chappelle’s head.

The most powerful moment they have ever done.

Just the fact that there was now this show that was shot with no flashbacks and no time jumps. We were seeing things as they happened in real time, and episode-to-episode, it was all one continuous episode.

TV had done over-arching storylines before, but never anything as audacious as making a season made up of 24 one-hour episodes making up the course of one day.

That's a good one, but I was actually more moved by George Mason's death after he was exposed to the radiation. Here was this guy that at one point we were so sure that he was a villain, but he makes the ultimate sacrifice for his country. Really moving.

Yea, if I had to pick a "most powerful episode" that's the one that comes to mind. It not only has the moment where Mason saves the day, but it also has the goodbye speech between Jack and Kim. Powerful stuff.

Chappelles death so an instant classic. It was so moving and powerful.

Mason's death was fucking brillant as well. It was what turned me froma casual fan of Lost to a hardcore fan.

I also loved the last episode of the fourth season of 24. It had so many great moments. Tony and Michelle reunite, Jack goes into exile, Palmers final speech with Jack and I loved how Chloe, Billy Boy, Tony and Michelle all worked together to protect Jack.

Tony's return in season 4 was a markout moment as well

As for my fav moment, I'll give mine way later as trust me, I've got a lot to sift through.

As for the return of tony in season 4 I remember sitting there. Watching it, wondering is this it for Jack. I mean you know he said that he called someone but it was the only person he could trust right now. But when Tony came out of there shivers ran down my spine (they ran down my spine when I typed this).

Mason's death bought a tear to my eye :'(

For fav episode I would probably say the last episode of season 1, the twist at the end was completly insane.

Might I suggest CSI: Las Vegas as the next show.

CSI is one of my favourite shows, so...YES!

BTW, I haven't replied in this thread because I haven't watched the last 2 seasons of 24, missed a quarter of the 2nd season and can't remember a whole lot from the 1st season so I can't really pick a particular episode.

However, I do love the format of the show and thought the whole idea was genius. Shame it doesn't work unless you can set aside the time evry week to watch it really, maybe I'll get the dvds.

Cheers for replys so far, new YFE tomorrow probably.;)

As far as action goes I like the end of the first season when Jack goes in alone on the Drazens after he thinks they killed Kim.

For some reason I also dig that episode in the first season where he's hiding around in the parking lot from the police.
