How I would solve this Mysterio/Orton fiasco

I don't know if I should make another thread on this or not, but I'm going to anyway, because we are all a bit at edge about the Mysterio thing and how the WWE plans on making Rey lose his well-deserved title match at Mania.

My plan to do this is to have Orton win the NWO match, but use the current interpromotional craze and have Triple H "invade" the PPV to help Orton win the match. The next SD, after Rey says that he shouldd still be the main event at Mania and Orton counters by saying that he beat Rey regardless of how he won it, Long comes out and says he can't do anything since Rey signed the match contract. But later in the same show, during an Orton match, Long come out, and says he's found a way to make everyone happy. He can't change anything, but he can add to the main event (a cop out the WWE had used at Summerslam 2003 to make an Elimination Chamber match out of the schedualed Triple H vs. Goldberg match), and add Mysterio to make the Triple Threat match, something suggested elsewhere on this board. This could make the WWE happy that they can still use Orton, and us happy, that we can still see Rey headlining the "grandaddy of them all".

I don't know if this will be of any help, but it was worth the try.

That didn't really deserve a whole new thread, but yeah, I've been saying for a while that they should make it a triple thread.

It wouldn't be hard, just have them pin each other at the same time (hands draped over each other). Throw in a second ref after a ref bump. Two refs, two counts, two "winners." It becomes a triple threat match.

Not too hard IMO.

A Triple Threat could be good, but it seems too similiar to 2004 for my tastes. I would much rather just see Angle vs. Mysterio, with Orton & Booker doing something on the undercard.

I figured they could do a triple threat as well. The winner of the RR automatically goes to WM. So whether Orton wins or not, Rey should still be in the match. It's almost exactly like '04 when HBK signed the contract, but Benoit was put in the match anyways due to winning the Rumble.

On the one hand, another Triple Threat at Mania makes my feet sad, but Reyis a pretty good draw (God knows why, since everyone hates the rest of the Juniors), and it could make the main event look a little less...Empty and one-sided.

ON THE OTHER HAND, Rey going to Mania means more milking of Eddie's memory, and if I see that, I may just go postal.

Taker vs Orton

Angle vs Orton for the Title or something

than you get the added bonus of having an angle/mysterio match and another angle match later on the card

and taker vs orton works because of their just previous fued.

The Undertaker vs. Kurt Angle vs. Randy Orton vs. Rey Mysterio

here is something that could possibly happen, but I don't see it happening or want to see it yet, but it could be unification time at WM22, have a six man elimination thing at WM: RVD vs. HHH vs. Cena vs. Angle vs. Orton vs. Rey, winner is the new Undisputed WWE World Heavyweight Champion for both brands.
