Funny how some people here have such a hard on for lately picking out the horrible mistakes that WCW has made......
What's worse? Robocop in WCW or Rob Schneider's goofy ass in the diva search?
I mean, come on... how about these all time great moments:
The hatching of The Gobbledygooker?
Mae Young giving birth to a hand?
Kennel From Hell Match?
Katie Vick?
The Fake Razor and Diesel?
The Goon?
Turning Doink face?
And now the Rey/Orton/Eddie fiasco?
WCW has it's moments (Cactus Jack "Lost in Cleveland", The Shockmaster, Heel Goldberg) but come on guys.... Vince has done a whole lot worse.

WCW brought in Chuckie and Robocop, and had David Arquette win the World title.
Come on, that tells you SOMETHING. I mean, remember Masta P's 'No Limit Soldiers'?

WCW let David Arquette win the Title. Nothing will top that.

However, the WWF nearly went the way of WCW in the mid 90s. Vince pushed new stars and created the Attitude era to get out of it. WCW continued to make stupid business decisions and crap on its fans until it was no more.

Come to think, that's why I worry about the WWE's future right now.
Adding an E to WW, when clearly it is not.
Damn you Animal Rights hippies!
The WWF had some REALLY shitty stuff back in the day, but WCW was A LOT worse than WWE in quantity of shitty stuff.
The WWE had some of the shittier stuff in some cases, but WCW takes the cake as a whole.
The WWF had some REALLY shitty stuff back in the day, but WCW was A LOT worse than WWE in quantity of shitty stuff...
And quality of shitty stuff.
Anyway, back to Vince's screw-ups:
His entrance at RR 05

The Oddities were just brutal.
Giant Gonzolas was awful, but the idea was good. Except for his body suit.

Anything involving ICP and wrestling = total crap.
In fact, The Odditties theme and such would win for sure, if WCW didn't go and hire the fuckers as well...

They're pushing all kinds of new stars right now.

Not pushing Matt Striker has to be the dumbest thing WWE is doing right now.

He had a lot of outside publicity too. It would have made a few more people watch Raw to at least check him out. I don't think I've seen him on Raw since they actually signed him.

He's been on Raw like 4 times ever. Besides, you think anybody would actually give a fuck enough about a schoolteacher turned wrestler to watch Raw for that reason alone?

I think you're all missing the point.
Chuckie... CHUCKIE...
Nark Order
02-09-2006, 01:29 PM
The obvious one being Katie Vick...
Kane's one day title reign.
Jeff Jarret vs Doink IC Title fued
Then Reverend D'Von with Deacon Batista.
Vince McMahon as World Champion (Just the thought of it. The way it happened was actually pretty sweet)
Kurt Angle bashing the troops while being managed by an 'arab'.
The Boogieman beating JBL in like 30 seconds with one move.
Orton saying Eddie is in hell.
Letting HHH decide that Edge should lose the belt...
Letting Triple H decide he should be in the main event @ Wrestlemania every year.
Letting HHH run the company.

Yeah, if there's one thing that's bad, it's risking using someone because they got legitimately corssover publicity in the real world press.

Personally, I like Matt Striker. I just don't think he'd really have that big of an impact on the ratings. Besides, wasn't he on TV shortly after he quit his job as a teacher? If there WERE going to be any crossover ratings, they would have already happened, wouldn't they?
I would like to see him more, though.

Miroku from that Inuyasha show. I hate the show, but I love the character.
And Vince as champion > Arquette as champion.

WWF was in bad shape in the early-mid 90's One has to wonder if the MSG incident with the Kilq hadnt ticked Vince off so much that he pushed Stone Cold if it would be the other way around. I read in a book at the bad times of the WWF someone mentioned to Vince to sell to WCW and he fired them on the spot. I think Bischoffs ego got in the way as he had predicted in late 97 that he would put the WWF out of business in 6 months, but 6 months later WWF was peaking high with the Attitude Era and taking control of the ratings.

All that cartoonish stuff was just horrible.
Robocop, Crockmaster, and so on...
...problem is, Vince LOVES that stuff for some reason. It's amusing with the Boogeyman, but there was a reason the Philly fans were chanting ECW during the King of the Ring where Viscera (in his old gimmick) won it...
Come to think, that's why I worry about the WWE's future right now.
Well, don't. WCW would still be around if they hadn't been a subsidiary to the huge Time Warner/AOL merger - leading to Ted Turner losing nearly all of his power over his TV shows and business decisions - which in turn led to a new brain trust at Time Warner/AOL that believed a company losing $16 million A YEAR should probably be eliminated.
The WWE stands on it's own two feet under Titan Sports and World Wrestling Entertainment Corporate. They're not going anywhere. They're also not losing anywhere near the amount of money that WCW was losing in 1999/2000.

dunno, if WWF went out of buisness when WCW was, I'm sure we would all be retrospectively laughing like we do at WCW now.

Vince has a hardon for really shitty angles, indeed. It's almost like he's got stock in wrestlecrap.

Sure, by cutting back further and further, reducing the size of their arenas...
Come on, they've done house shows in Vermont. The state thats only claim to a population is they have 50 people...Twice the state of Delaware.

Not for much longer if they continue to go the way they have been going. They're just still living on their past success at the moment.Who reckons Shane would do a better job than Vince as the chairman of WWE?I was all for it at first, but having thought about it I don't think it would be any different.
Anyhow, the fact that Mark Henry was being used in the main event is definately one shitty thing WWE has done.
