There's been some topics and talk throughout the wrestling boards the last few days about the good (and bad) ol' days of the WCW. Now I'm starting this thread for two reasons: 1) It was one of the biggest angles/storylines in history and 2) wrestling is horrible as of late.

So go ahead... post your favorite stories, bring up the fact that you were there for a big run-in or member intro, talk about how you marked out for the nWo or the Wolfpac, and post a few video clips (youtube.com has a ton of them).

Maybe this will actually give us something to talk about.

I was in attendance the night Rick Rude was on both Raw and Nitro on the same night. Also, this guy was the man:

The whole Sting vs nWo feud was insane. So many great moments in the feud. Someone needs to upload the bit when a million Sting's come down and try to beat up the nWo, but get battered untill the real Sting comes down and clears house. Fucking amazing.

Are you serious? lol I don't even consider nWo 2002 to be nWo. That was the shittest remake, and I think Vince only did it to shit on WCW's creation.

The best nWo was the original one. When it split, I'd mark out for the Hollywood Heels - because Hogan was the fucking man. I miss those days so much when I was in middle school. Monday's used to be my favorite day...at 8 Nitro would start, and at 9 Raw would start. Then Tuesday morning the talk would only be about wrestling lol. I remember LMFAO a bunch of us students created a group in the class called the nWo. Just like the real nWo, we'd kick members out and fakely attack them LOLLLLLLL LOLLLLLL Oh man, good to be a kid.

One moment that stands out to me till this day is the finger poke of doom - because of how horrible it was. I was all into Hogan vs. Nash, then boom...finger, 123. I was like WTF?!

The Sting attacks on nWo were fucking awesome. My fav, too bad the hogan sting match didn't even live up to its build up.

WCW was fucking awesome, even at its low points.

nWo 2000 was probably the worst version.

Who was playing Ric Flair in that horseman mock?

Syxx was. And for the record, Nash played Arn Anderson, Buff played Curt Hennig, and Konnan played Mongo.

Finally, an nWo thread that isn't just "Bring it back" or "WWF/E's version sucked". An actual tribute thread.

In regards to what PullMyFinger said, me and my closest buddies refer to ourselves as the nWo. It was my idea so I'm the leader, second in command is Phoenix, the Nash of the group. George, the Flair, Rob Hardy, who we lovingly refer to as Matt, Nick, who we refer to as Jeff and a couple of lower downers like X-Pacs. For the record, I'm HBK. Me and Phoenix both have nWo shirts, which gives us Point of Authority.

But yeah, loved the nWo. Only saw the WWE version and for some reason I marked out or them. Probably because they were legendary and I didn't think I would see them ever (I was always more into WWF, hated WCW). Also, it was Hogan.

I made these myself, kinda. I downloaded the Wolfpac logo, and edited from there with MS Paint.

The nWo should have never expanded past the original three. In WCW or WWE... they were awesome. One of the all time great stables. Scott Hall's role in it was severely underrated, and I always crack up at his Savage impersonations.

I have to disagree X-pac was good in both roles and HBK played it up awesomely.

I think the core group was Hall, Nash, Hogan, Giant and Syxx. Add in Dibiase as thier "security" and that should of been it. I was actually watching my Best of nWo compliation tape (everything from Hall's 1st appearence-Bischoff joining them) and it's some of the greatest stuff ever.

The nWo Saturday Nights is some of the funniest shit ever produced btw.

I started to watch wrestling in early 1998 right when the NWO split between Black and White and Wolfpack. My favourite moment was probably the Finger Point of Doom because it was such a surprise Nash laying down for Hogan right after he ended Goldberg's winning streak

Watch this shit. Awesome stuff. ROFL @ Giant falling off the steps and dropping Savage.

Mark out moment for those who hated the nWo. This was at a time when the nWo was going really strong and seemed unstoppable. Even if it was Lex Luger.

Please... this a NWO tribute... his name was Syxx

and for the record... the terms "HBK" & "NWO" should NEVER be used togther. EVER. I don't care what happened.
