I gotta tell you guys, i know when Cena lost the belt to Edge i said "this is the best thing theyve done all year" and it wasnt even 10 days into the new year, but damn really thats the best thing theyve done so far. I think they really f'd up the rumble by having Rey win it with no build up at all to it. I remmeber reading the spoiler and almost crying over it, the crowd reaction alone was a sign they werent into that much either. WWE F'd up the rumble real bad IMO and by doing that, theyve lit a fuse that they still have time to put out leading to them blowing WM.

The legacy of EG is being shit for no reason other then ratings and letting rey rey win the rumble, which on both accounts...sucks. Randy Orton is going(?) to be in the main event at mania and to tell you the truth i like that, but not how its going to happen by possibly FURTHER destroying EG name sake. Poor eddie, sometimes i feel like he took all the decency in the wrestling buisness with him when he passed.

Then there's gods blind spot, or as you might call him John Cena. I say gods blind spot beacuse by god i mean vince, and hes really blind to the fact that Cena is NOT what we want to see, or at least as he is now. He takes the belt off of him to "show us what we really had" as WWE fans and well, i still dont know what he had, but i can tell you what he didnt, my attention span.
It bugs the HELL out of vince that he cant make us like what he wants us to anymore, its been stated he takes great pride in being able to kidna control what we like and dont. If he thought making cena enter from a spaceship on his return to title status REALLY changed our views and now hes "cool" to us, hes insane. Cena has potential, but were it is right now is farther away then any space ship he comes to the ring on.

Then theres this years mania. Which is starting to scare me beacuse the matches that MIGHT be taking place dont appeal to me, if the only match worth while is Orton Vs Angle, im not intrested. Cena Vs HHH? eh im not up for watching HHH get a new pet to fued with for the remainer of the year.
Carlito and masters and a few other intresting mid carders havent ahd a possible match up yet so what the wwe does with them will decide wheather or not i purchase Mania.

How do you feel on the wwe year so far? Its a bit early, and they could just be slippin up for a little bit, but it seems there slipping on a lot.

This will probably be the first year since WM 14 that i am not going to be ordering Wrestlemania. The only match that would interest me is Edge vs Foley.

Kurt Angle is a god among wrestlers and deserves be in the WM main-event but Orton or Rey do not deserve to be there. IMO the Wrestlemania main-event should be 2 big stars who are proven draws. I think that Angle vs Taker should have been saved for Wrestlemania 22 instead of No Way Out (which Kurt Angle retaining is a lock). Angle vs Taker at WM 22 would have been great because both are amazing workers and there would be a good story (World Title vs Taker's winning streak)

I'm borderline not watching Either show for the first time in, like, forever. I'm borderline not ordering Mania for the first time since I've had my own financial means.

So I'm not thinking very highly of the WWE right now.

I would have said more, but I still have the flu and I don't feel like beating the horse now that it's been rendered into a mere stain.

The WWE were heading in an unpredictable direction by having Edge defend at WrestleMania. They didn't feel like that match wouldn't draw, so instead they have John Cena win the title back. So instead of seeing an unpredictable match that may not draw, we're going to see a predictable match that will draw? Meh.

I really hope the WWE just had Cena win the belt back so they could have him lose to Edge again, in hopes that multiple title switches will freshen up the main event scene, and re-create the magic the title swaps Triple H & The Rock had in 2000. This would make both Edge & Cena multi-time World Champs heading into WrestleMania. Some may not like it, but I think it would work in setting apart Edge & Cena from the rest of the "new age main eventers". The only people to win multiple World Titles in the WWE, whose second reigns came post-2001 are Brock Lesnar & John Cena.

Even if they want Cena to main event WrestleMania, why not have him lose the belt to Edge, then have Mick Foley reverse his decision, leading to a rematch in a Hell in a Cell Match on Saturday Night Main Event or something? Quantity doesn't equal quality, but it would certainly make both Cena & Edge look better than they already are.

On SmackDown!, I kinda hope they have Randy Orton cheat to beat Mysterio (with help from Booker T), and have Chris Benoit beat Booker T, but only by disqualification. Then have Benoit win the Rumble Spot at SNME, so we get Kurt Angle vs. Chris Benoit at WrestleMania to end the show. Eddie Guerrero is still honoured. Rey Mysterio can win the US Title from Booker T earlier that night. It can serve as a test to see how Mysterio does with a Heavyweight Title.

No no no no no, A06. That would be a GOOD main event for Wrestlemania.

2006 has at least been fairly unpredictable.

I'll just say that I agree that Wrestlemania is not looking too special at all. I typically see it as the culmination of the year's big angles, or at least a culmination of things that have been running a while. Whereas other PPV's might only require one or two months of buildup, I expect the major WM matches to have buildup really from the end of the previous year at least (not necessarily open feuding since the year before; I mean buildup, which can be anything from tension between two superstars to chance interaction to a flat-out rivalry).

This year's WM, much like 2000, seems thrown together and not very flushed out. If the rumored main events do indeed take place, you're going to have one match with a total buildup of about one month and another with either the same small time frame or that much plus two months (stemming from when Cena and HHH had that faceoff the week after HHH turned on Flair).

Looking at the rumoured main events (hhh vs cena, orton vs angle, henry vs ut, foley vs edge and vince vs shawn). Out of those guys Henry should not be in a wrestlemania main event. Even Mick Foley shouldn’t be in a high profile wm match. He is not in ring shape and the year is 2006 not 1999. You could even argue that Orton (still a bit green) and Cena (given the unstability of his crowd reactions) should not be maineventing wm. And I think there are more deserving wrestlers than Vince for Shawn to wrestle at Wrestlemania as well (Shelton, RVD, Rock). So there are five superstars who have massive question marks over their head as to whether they should be in the position they are at wm this year

Normally around this time of year I start really anticipating WrestleMania. This year, I'm quite frankly more looking forward to the next iMPACT!. Hell, I'm actually looking forward to my next training session more, despite the fact that I'm probably going to get Curb Stomped. Which hurts like fuck by the way.
