Alright, so basically my DVD burner has not been working right lately. I've tried copying DVDs and it would always start burning and then halfway through it would just freeze.
I reinstalled DVD Shrink and Nero thinking that they might be the problem but I tried it again last night and it does the same thing. So what could the problem be? Could it be the burner or just a problem with the programs and stuff?

hhhmmm. If you can try to put your dvd burner into another computer and see of it works on that. Actually, that should be a "last ditch" effort. What I can suggest is that you try another dvd burning software package and see what happens. Make sure no programs are running in the background and do not run any programs while burning that could interfer with the burn process. Try doing a simulation burn with nero and see what happens there before you do a proper burn. Trying burning different dvds if you can ( e.g. copy a dvd, a data dvd, a music dvd, etc) and see if you get the same problem.

Also, it is still burning CD's and data CD's/DVD's.

ATAPI DVD DD 2X16X4X16
I don't know if that is what you were looking for or if there is more to the brand and model and stuff.
