That's a good point. It's only been defended at 20 WMs, but there have been 21 defenses.

Maybe a better question would be:

Which Wrestlemania had the lowest buy-rate?

No the WM 4 title tournament doesn't count it wasn't defended by anybody. Same for WM 13

Uh, I never mentioned WM 4 in my post and I don't understand how the title wasn't defended at WM 13. The Undertaker beat Sid for the title at WM 13. :wtf:

My guess would be WrestleMania I because it didn't reach as many people.

redoneja

neither are correct.

As far as WM I is concerned, it wasn't shown on PPV. It was only shown on closed-circuit TV and therefore, PPV buyrates do not apply. Still, it was viewed by more people than the one with the lowest PPV buyrate.

Xero

How do you know it was view by MORE people? People would imply everyone, so one house could have had ten or twenty people in it.

Yeah, I'm getting anally technical, big whoop, you wanna fight about it?

I'm going to guess 13, because it was right before the onset of Attitude, and the card was pretty weak. I mean, Rocky Maivia vs. The Sultan for the Intercontinental Title? LOD and Ahmed vs. Faarooq, Crush, and Savio in a streetfight? Not exactly WrestleMania 17 there.

McLegend
02-17-2006, 06:41 PM
I'm gonna say 11 now actually

Loopydate got it. Wrestlemania 13 has the lowest buyrate of any Wrestlemania, and its buyrate was essentially tripled by that of Wrestlemania 14.

Not sure how accurate it is, but the numbers check out at prowrestlinghistory.com, too.
