I'm gonna take a wild guess and say I'm not the only one ordering this.
I read that so far Helms retained the Cruiserweight Title, JBL beat Lashley with help from Finlay, and Batista gave a speech saying that he'll be back sooner than later.

It has five minutes to redeem itself.

This whole angle was terribly written. I know they're looking for unpredictability here, but this was absolutely the wrong way to go about it. If you want Orton in the WM main event, have Orton win the Rumble. If you want to continue to push Rey on the backs of the waves of sympathy he's getting, leave the shot on him. Don't give us a sympathy win, then bury all that goodwill with this shitty angle.

does taker have a match against angle neway? havent reeally been paying attn to smackDOWN!
yes, taker vs angle for the title
WTF @ Orton winning. I honestly did not see WWE doing this. Oh well, Angle stole HHH's title shot at no way out, in 2002 and he got it back the next night on raw. I doubt Rey will get his title shot back though, which is just retarded.
Maybe it'll still turn into a triple threat, if not, is this the only time the rumble winner wont get his title shot?
No. 1997's didn't go to WrestleMania (Austin won). Instead they did Taker vs Sid in a "Shit My Pants" match.
(Hey, I had to get a joke in somewhere. :shifty: )

In 1997, Austin won the Rumble, but didn't get the WM Title shot.
Ditto 1999 for Vince McMahon.
Those are the only two times it's happened since WWF/E made the Rumble winner #1 contender in 1991.
Orton winning was pure BULLSHIT
so the whole point of ray winning the rumble was to piss on eddies grave good thinking vince chavo may think of going to tna when his contract is up.

From the Torch: Stellar match. One of Taker's best ever. They really delivered. There was no point you could accuse them of "filling time" despite going nearly 30 minutes. Really interesting counters throughout. Memorable match. The finish worked, too.

Nice to see UT actually trying again. As great as Angle is, I don't think even he could pull a top-notch match out of the lazy Undertaker we've been seeing since his "Deadman" return. Sounds like UT really put some effort into this match.

From a wrestling standpoint, it sounds like a good card.
Rey losing is total shit. My interest in Mania just went down the toilet.

well now i can offically say i want to watch Smackdown now.
Angle/Orton build up that will obviously culminate with Orton putting
Angles Medals in a bag and shitting in said bag.
I think they could put a decent match on togather.
Although still won't have as much meaning as Orton/Batista.
Just a better match.
That whole Batista thing tonight made me think,
what if Batista comes in at mania... and costs Angle the belt...
Seems interesting at the least.

Well, turning Batista heel would be the obvious-exciting thing to do. Wouldn't be surprised if they went that way anyway.

Meh, they can still add Rey to the WM card.
I mean he is one of the people that brings in ratings, people mark out for him.
I know it's the WWE and they tend to screw things up....big time, but i think even THEY know that Rey should have a match (title match) at WM.
I hope they fix it and make it a Triple Threat match or even a Fatal Four Way at WM it can still be done, i wouldn't mind seeing: Taker vs Angle vs Orton vs Rey.

Yeah, they'll probably go with that.
I don't think it's the best thing to do though.
People liked Batista as the goodie good face that runs in and saves people, that is why they marked out for him.
I think that if they make him heel, they will lose alot of fans that marked out for him as a babyface, but thats just my point of view.

I still have faith in the WWE to shake things up. Kurt Angle vs. Randy Orton is good and all, but please, have Orton jump to RAW. Who challenges on SmackDown!? Why not Chris Benoit? Make the United States Championship mean something. Or there's Rey Mysterio, but it seems like the WWE doesn't give a shit about him.

I think what makes him an effective face is that he is a really nice guy backstage and he's all subdued, but when he gets in that ring, Dr. Jeckyll becomes Mr. Hyde and he just about mutilates the other guy.
He's good as a heel, but you really can't push him as anything other than a force of destruction, like they did in Evolution.
The Taker/Angle match sounds absolutely awesome. Hopefully Mr. Savior can get it upped and linked to?

I'm glad after watching the taker/angle match that i stayed up for this, the only good matches though was that and rey v orton.Taker/Angle though is one of those matches that make you realise why you started watching WWE/wrestling in the first place. It could be match of the year....

Heres my predictions Randy Orton will win agasnt Angle (no surprise there management has planned for Orton to win the title at wm 22 ever since he went to smackdown ) then Bats will come and attack Orton leaving the match on a somewhat good note and setting up a orton/bats feud over the title. This will leave angle vs taker after wm as well given that ut isnt finished with Angle.

I don't think Bats will be healthy enough to wrestle at Mania. He'll do a run-in, I'm sure, but I don't think he'll have fully rehabbed that tricep to the point where he could actually wrestle.

But he just said last night that his tricep wasn't torn anymore.

Technically his tricep wasn't torn anymore once he had his surgery. It needs to strengthen up, if he returned now, it would tear again.

You know Taker/Angle really reminded me of Japanese wrestling, with the way the crowd were slowly getting more and more into it.
The only down side is the whole match made Angles offense look shit, he hit taker with 2 angle slams and had him in an Ankle lock for 15 minutes overall and he still couldn't beat the guy!
