Now that Mysterio is out of the title picture, I think he should do something no one saw coming. At WrestleMania, I think they should have Gregory Helms defend the WWE Cruiserweight Championship against Rey Mysterio.
Sure, it looks like stepping down for Mysterio, but why? Shouldn't the Cruiserweight Title be the most prestigious belt for men 220lbs or under? I can understand why some people want to see Rey main event, but he has become some embedded within the product, I think he would make the CW Title worthy of the main event. The guy's the 2006 Royal Rumble Winner, his credibility isn't going anywhere.
Who else is there to challenge Helms at WrestleMania? No one I can see challenging in a one-on-one match and giving the match the special feel it deserves. I guess they could have another Free For All (they're awesome), but I think WrestleMania should be different from the Royal Rumble and No Way Out.
Helms is also a fairly recognised guy within the WWE if you think about it. He's held a lot of Championships, he's feuded with The Rock, etc. Helms vs. Mysterio would capture a lot of energy for the Cruiserweight Division, and even if Mysterio does not compete in the division too long after it, I think it would be a great move by the WWE to install credibility into it.
