Yeah, anything but country. I just want something new to listen to, since I've been having the same stuff over and over.

Also, mind listing the genre (or closest you can come up with) so I know exactly what I'm getting into?

Shit, I haven't checked this topic since Spilchuk's 'Crue' comment. Anyway, Weird Al, Crue, and Seether I know decently well, and 'Wasted' by Ten Years is a good song. Did remind me to get a lot of stuff though. Gotta long list to reply to..

Dry Kill Logic's 'Paper Tiger'- I want to hate this song... I want to hate this band, but I don't know why... And I don't know what it is I like about them so much. This is a pretty good track. Also got 'Pain' and 'Snap Your Fingers, Snap Your Neck' (<3), so these guys will be looked into.

Dropkick Murphy's 'Your Spirit's Alive'- Couldn't find the actual track, but I figured I wouldn't care for these guys. I download Barroom Hero, and it was pretty boring. I dunno, Punk isn't that great unless it's the Clash. Sorry man...

The Smiths- Got 'This Charming Man' and 'Ask'. The music is done REALLY well, but not my direct tastes. Reminds me too much of the oldies, which does interest me. I may follow the band, but not for musical reasons.

Desert Rose Band's 'Trouble'- Couldn't get it, so I downloaded 'One Step Forward'. Reminds me of a slower Fireball Ministry, and I love Bar-Rock. I'll give these guys a little more listen to, since they sounds pretty good.

Jeff Buckley's 'Grace'- It's a good song, but nothing I would like to hear a lot. Makes REALLY good background music though, trying to write down the other stuff at the time. :o

Tony Iommi's 'Dopamine'- Couldn't find the song, so I download 'Patterns' with Serj from SoaD. I like it, the music reminds me of the riff from 'Iron Man', and Serj has a good voice for eerie type songs. Good stuff.

Ryan Adams- His voice makes me want to kill kittens.

Jesse Malin- While not as bad as the above (in fact, his voice is decent), not my cup, let alone the tea in it.

Khan Super Session's 'Edge of Soul'- Can't get it.

Clint Mansell's 'Requiem for a Dream'- Found mostly remixes, and the real versions didn't seem to work. I relistened to 'Patterns' waiting for this one to work. I love this Iommi cat, going to give him more of a listen. But yeah, from what I did get to hear, I like Mansell. A few of his tracks they listed looked pretty hot, so I'll give that a listen to later.

RZA's 'Fatal'- First time I have listened to RZA, so keep that in mind. His history really means nothing to me. Took me awhile, but I finally hunted down the track. Honestly, the Blade quote in the beginning turned me off, but the slow rapping nailed it. Sorry.

Do as Infinity's 'Shinjitsu no Uta'- This reminded me to look up Utda Hikaru again. But yeah, 'Deep Forest/Fakai Mori' was a good song, so I had hopes for this track. Took to long to download, so I'll have to wait until later...

Lyrics Born's 'I Changed my Mind'- LOL What the shit? This is odd, I don't even know what to think... I don't know if I dislike it or like it. Krispy, what the crap have you been up to man?

Ladytron's 'Playgirl'- The first thing that hit my mind was 'Don't you wish your girlfriend was hot like me?' and I raised an eyebrow. Though not that bad, it was a little boring.

Avenged Sevenfold's 'Beast and the Harlot'- I do hate these guys, but I gave them a listen. I immediately got the urge to go to Hot Topic, and wear make-up, but I am a trooper. The music is MUCH better than 'Bat Country', and while I don't like this guys, 'tis an okay song.

Nickel Creek- Tried 'Speak' and 'When in Rome'. The former wasn't too bad of a song. Really, it's a good slow tune, good stuff. The latter had a very old timey feel to it for me, and it was one of those songs I could picture being in the opening credits of a movie. Good tune, I might look into these guys more.

Rasputina- Any band with a song called 'Gingerbread Coffin' worries me. I tried 'The New Zero' and 'Wish You Were Here'. The fuck... This chica's vocals creep me out. They do remind me of Nightwish or Lacuna Coil to some extent though. 'WYWH' took too long to download though. They're okay, but creepy.

Mrnorth- Is it that or Mr. North? Weird name for a band. Couldn't find a single track of theirs.

The Panic Division- I forgot the last 'i' a few times, which threw me off. Trying 'Delta', to get a feel for the band. Hot damn, the music hit me off the bat. I thought 'When in Rome' was still playing for a moment. I like these guys. Something about them clicks well. I'll be given them a better listen to. :y:

Socratic- Emo... I'm already guessing these guys won't be special. Only emo bands I have come to enjoy have been Atreyu and Decanting the Pride, but, I'm giving 'Lunch for the Sky' a listen through. I like the piano, that does seperate them. But the vocalist... That's checkmate for these guys.

Demon Hunter- Ahaha, first three results were 'Not Ready to Die', 'Undying', and 'Screams of the Undead'. Very original band I take it? Trying out the first listed one, seeing what it's like. Eh, the vocalist makes the music (which is really good) dumbed down. I'll give them a better listen to when I don't have to rush through them.

Say Anything- Going to try 'Wow, I can get Sexual too'. Very unique name. Telephone ringing noise is really bothering m... No.

Jakalope- Swollen Members versus Jakalope? Downloading that track ('Feel It') and I'll download a single track as well. 'Shonen Knife' looks good, we'll try that... Scratch that, trying something else. 'Don't Cry', we'll try that. LOL they remind me of M2M. I like the track with SM, but otherwise, they're pretty sub-par in my opinion. :-\

Dredg- Going to try 'Triangle' and 'Penguins in the Desert'. Wait, is it Dredge or Dredg? Well, I like 'PitD', good sound, and the vocals aren't too shabby. My speakers suck, so it makes it awkward.

Dropping Daylight- Finding nothing

Dresden Dolls- Ah, I know these folks. They're okay, just not my fancy.

KMFDM, Ugly Kid Joe- Good bands, already know them.

A quick word on Demon Hunter. Check out any of the following songs: One Thousand Apologies, My Heartstrings Come Undone, Deteriorate, or The Tide Began To Rise.

These are more on the rock side, with pretty much all clean vocals. Tide Began To Rise, in particular features a great vocal harmony at the end.

If you haven't heard Shinedown befor,e they might be worth a look.

If you were watching Raw a few months back, you would have heard "save me" from their new album hyping a PPV. It's pretty generic, their other album is better. Try "left out" or "In MEmory." They're still generic in the "whiny artfag misunderstood" sense.
