Ted Turner is set to leave the board of directors from AOL Time Warner following the company's next meeting.

There was speculation that Turner was interested in starting another wrestling promotion soon but any hope of that is now gone since Turner will have basically no power over any of the networks under the AOL Time Warner corporation. AOL Time Warner signed a no compete clause with WWE when they sold them WCW. That agreement ends in March, meaning they can start a new promotion if they wish to. Turner has always been a big wrestling fan and likely would be the only one to push that sort of thing.

And Bischoff tried and almost succeeded in putting Vince out of business. What's your point?
